I've never worked on your brand name stove but i want to tell you don't self clean it until after the holidays, when you self clean an oven it gets up to 1000 degrees, the heat can damage the electronics in the oven,if it does and you need a part ordered you won't have an oven to cook with for the holidays, after what i've seen i will never self clean my oven again with the self clean feature i use easy off just as good.hope this helps you out and merry christmas

HI, no need to replace the unit at this time. this is a Open or shorted oven temperature sensor (RTD).

Check sensor harness and harness connection between oven sensor and oven control. Replace oven temperature sensor (RTD) if wiring is ok.

You need to remove the rack side supports too. Its not clear in the book as it just says shelves and racks but everything needs to come out the oven.

you have to remove the shelf supports (left and right) as well as the shelves. The manual tells you about the shelves but not the supports. I only found out as someone wrote the answer on another website

Why does it say "Clean Door" during the self-cleaning procedure?

Never ever use the Self Clean feature. All it exists to do is to keep the makers in a steady stream of sales of spares. The temperature is 800 to 925'F. The parts can't handle it.

Try turning off at the breaker overnight to reset.

Neff pyrolytic Oven B4652

My suggestion is NEVER EVER use the self cleaning feature. We see questions like yours at least 4 times a week. Locked doors, burned out elements, burnt out fans and even frazzled control boards. The temperature is just too hostile.

The oven is cleaned by heat, at temperatures above normal cooking temperatures. During the cleaning cycle the oven is heated to about 880 degrees Fahrenheit (471° C.). At this temperature, food soils inside the oven decompose, leaving behind a small amount of ash.

Got error "pyrolitic interrupted" any way to clear this swithed of power for 24 hours to no effect

A feature of certain Smeg ovens, Pyrolytic cleaning is an automatic cleaning function which works by heating the inside of the oven to 500°C, at which temperature any grease stuck to the walls is simply burned off.

i think something is wrong with the elements
or a sender / sensor

so as its telling the controller for the oven that its not getting to the right temp perhaps one half of the oven isnt running etc
perhaps some sensor has become worn at these hi temps i cant see a senor lasting more than a few years before it degrades

How do I clean the electrolux oven? It won't start after i take the racks out

As you did not specify the exact model I assume that this is a self-cleaning oven, in other words with pyrolytic cleaning. It has a microswitch which is activated by removing the racks and just because that you can not run the pyrolytic cleaning otherwise racks would be destroyed. Do not forget that the temperature during pyrolytic cleaning is app. 500 degrees Celsius. For that reasons the oven door is locked when temperature increasing to app. 300 degrees and unlocked when the temperature decreasing to the app. 200 degrees. It is clear that when you remove the racks only program that you can run is pyrolytic cleaning.

How do you clean a self-cleaning gas oven?

If it's one with pyrolytic oven coatings then you empty the oven and turn the oven to maximum for about three hours.

The linings will get hot enough to burn deposits to a light ash residue which you can then wipe off with a damp cloth when the oven has cooled down.

Some modern ovens have a self-cleaning setting on one of the controls. All it does is to automate the process and to lock the oven door until the cycle has completed.

Note that you will smell the fumes as the oven self-cleans and they can set off any smoke alarms you have. Also, if the oven is really filthy and thickly caked in grease then the pyrolysis will not be fully effective. Note that oven shelves and other metal fittings and also door glass are not pyrolytic and any deposits will get baked on, so clean those separately first. Really stubborn deposits will come off using a caustic-soda based cleaners, but you must wear suitable protective gloves, glasses and clothing and exercise extreme care when using them as caustic soda burns are far, far, worse than acid burns.
