Found in a 2012 FIXYA post for a Taylor 7558 but this may work for you too!

"...make sure the batteries are CR2032 and NOT CR2032E batteries. My Taylor 7901 scale finally works!" More on this later...

The e on CR2032e denotes the manufacturer as Mitsubishi. Both are CR2032 batteries which means they produce 3V and 210 mAh (210 is the spec, 220 is a common claimed total energy content).

SOURCE: I put the new battery in my Taylor 7004 V1812 and the screen rem

Check and see if you put the battery in right. Make sure the rough part is facing bottom.If this doesn't work your battery may be bad.

Taylor precision digital diet scale model 1250-49 displays "88888",theno "UNSt" , even when level and solid platform

The display or internal electronics might be broken. Firstly, try removing and replace the batteries and cleaning the scale. If that doesn't work you may want to contact the manufactuters.

Your'e correct that LO means battery is low.
The CR032 is very common, available at most supermarkets, photographic and electronic outlets, hardware stores.
The battery, called a cell, is 3 volts DC and has no wires.
The wires you see will be from the battery holder / connector.
The cell is a flat silver disc, wider side positive before removing it.

From what i have seen EE means overload warning, I looked on the website your scale has a lifetime warrenty on it i would recomend calling customer service @ For Customer Service: 800-289-0944 before messing around with anything.
