there are a few things you can do. reset the unit in main menu ie right click on mouse and click on main menu, in setting click on reset. it will go back to settings as new and should sort the problem out other is, is there a hazard triangle lit up on front of the unit. there should be power, hd and a cam sign showing no others showing. if the triangle is showing it could be a fault with a camera or the hard drive. also if you have 3 cameras working only it will show a triangle. let me know how you get on.

There are two methods to reset.. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the device from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight is better. This procedure will make it a hard reset.
