SOURCE: Philips LX3600D Home theatre always returns to standby mode

There is a 1ohm resistor on the 4x4 pcb as soon as you take off the cover. ( I forget the ID # ) It supplys the -15volts to the control bd. The resistor will not looked burned. It was under rated. An ohm meter will find it ( open ). Rreplace it with a 1/3 watt. I believe the orig. was a 1/4 watt.

SOURCE: Home theatre but TV without audio outlet

I would suggest that you smash
Philips HTS w/a hammer!
I had better sound from TV alone! Only 2 speakers put out sound from TV. Recordings from DVR can not be heard very well w/all volumes at max. System sucks! You get what you pay for! $2500 LCD TV sounds worse w/Philips HTS than my son's $300 TV! ALL cables hooked up as instucted!!!!

I need a new power supply unit for philips dvd hts3569/98 home theatre system that got burnt

WOW! Your power supply is exotic!... You MAY have better luck searching for similar supply models shown below? They all (apparently) all use the same supply. Methinks chances of finding a used one are quite slim.

I WAS able to locate a SERVICE MANUAL for:

Home Theater DVD Player HTS3510/12/51/55/78/93/94/98

PAGE 7-1
shows a FULL POWER SUPPLY SCHEMATIC WITH voltages and part numbers ~ YES!

Know there are FIVE different voltages provided FROM the supply... which ONE or ONES are missing?

The TROUBLE SHOOTING CHART is very well written and should help you greatly!

Most of the parts appear to be 'standard parts' except for the 2 transformers!
From memory, T501 and T502?? Don't quote me on that.

Philips HTS 6600/12 Home Theatre System HDMI does not open the DVD door.

DVD sledges work by a rubber belt that in your case might have broke or come off. It's very easy to replace. Find the original belt. Measure the diameter in MM (approx) and do a Google search for "Drive belt XX MM".
Get the nearest to your size.

Disk stuck in my Blue Ray

Hi!
I had the same problem, and I solved it by shutting down the unit and then disconnected the power supply for some sec. When re-connecting the power supply and pushing the start button the DVD was ejected when pushed the eject button.

Philips HTS3410D home theatre system. DVD is stuck inside - won't play, won't open. any ideas?

Power off the system
Unplug the power cord
Wait 5 minutes
Plug back the power cord
Power up the system
Press the open/close button
Load a DVD and play

If the tray still will not open, the cover will have to be removed and manually operated. You may have to have a technician look at the unit.

Please rate this solution - Thanks

I bought philips 5.1 home theatre for PC it is not supporting

As I found somewhere on the internet; there are two 470uF/25V capacitors on the power supply board in the sub-woofer that are the cause of buzzing, crackling and then eventually no sound. Go to Radio Shack and buy two Catalog #: 272-1030 470uF/35V capacitors and change them out. They are in the middle of the Power Supply PCB and are close to the long flat aluminum heatsink. Make sure you match the polarity properly when replacing. Your unit will be as good as new and will proibably last forever now.
