Question about Frigidaire Dishwashers

Open Question

My lightly used (2-3 times a month) is showing EC shortly after starting. I hear a clicking just before it stops.I found a switch in a box that tells me "Do not remove cover. No serviceable parts"

Frigidaire gallery dishwasher FGHD2465NB1A shows EC in less than a minute after starting.I have reset it several times and it did start and run almost the entire cycle(as if it knew) when I ran through the "symptoms" with a repairman before he came out. I can see it is trying to make a connection when a small piece moves but never stays.

SOURCE: Whirlpool dishwasher will not start

There is a small replacable part on the control panel circuit board which is like a fuse. It actually is a temperature fuse and it blows when the environment gets too hot for the circuit board. Unplug the dishwasher and take the door apart so you can see the circuit board. If you trace the power wires one of them leads to a little white module with 2 electrical tabs. Unplug the 2 wires and unsnap the module. You can check it with an ohm meter. IF its good the meter will register almost a short. f it's bad it will be open. The parts place I went to didn't even need a model number and he says he goes through a lot of them.

When I turn on my laptop two programmes keep popping up and can't get rid of them and it is running slow

Hi Margaret. Don't know which operating system you are using but it's basically the same operation for al of them.

Goto the Start button and type msconfig in the run or search box and press enter. When the System Configuration box pops up, click on the Startup tab at the top. You should see a list of all the programs that startup when you switch on.

Look for the ones you want to stop and un-tick the little boxes at the side. There may be others that you know you don't need to startup every time you switch on. When you have finished click on Apply and OK. It may tell you to restart the computer, that's ok. If a box pops up to tell you that someone has been in to the System Configuration just click the box so it does not tell you that again, as it was you that changed things. If it's running slow it could also be infected with malware. That will need to be scanned and the malware found and removed. Malwarebytes is excellent for that. Just google it.
Hope this helps.

There is a wiring harness that feeds to the door, electric door locks and windows draw a lot of amperage. Try removing fuses one at a time that supply power to your door controls until you see the problem go away. If that doesn't work, try other fuses to accessories like interior lights. If your headlights are dimming you have a power wire shorting to another circuit, if it were to ground it would blow a fuse.

My Dell Inspiron m5030 won't turn on. It was

Switch ON the PC, boot the PC in 'Safe Mode' by continuously tapping F8 button after you switch On.

Let windows boot in Safe Mode and log in to windows.

Go to 'Start'--->Programs--->Accessories--->System Tools--->System Restore

Here you will have to check "Restore computer to an earlier time' and click Next
Now you will find one Month Calendar window with Dates below, go to the previous month by clicking the '<' sign in the upper left hand corner of the Month Calendar and select any date that you see in Bold.

The detail of that particular date should show "System Checkpoint" and time on the right hand side box. Select that date.

Now, Click on Next and System Restore will start and windows will take a reboot.

Just try this and leave a feedback for next steps.

The light flashing is some sort of an error code, count the number of times it flashes then call the manufacturer's tech support and tell them the standby flashes in increments of 5 or whatever yours is doing to find out what the code possibly means.

The clicking noise you hear is normal. You need to give your machine about 20 minutes to warmup before you can assume something is wrong. Try choosing white or wheat and see if it starts mixing without any ingredients in it. If it doesn't start mixing after 20-30 minutes then there IS something wrong.

Won't begin.. suspect back start switch.

Breaker blows when start is pushed? A shorted switch is possible, but more likely the element has failed & contacted ground inside the machine. The easiest way to tell is direct visual inspection. New elements are cheap & fairly easy to install. Check for severe lint buildup in the motor, & make sure it turns freely.
