You have some bad LED lamps in the panel, its not a fun job to get at them and change them but if you watch a couple vids it should give you an idea how to do it, other issue is cost as the light strips can be expensive depending on the set and its size...Good luck!!

Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ To some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement. To some models sets, the back-light inverter and SMPS section circuit will be integrated at its main board itself. If so; the main board should be replaced. To some models of sets, all these section circuit will be integrated at its main board. If this is the case, you have to replace the main board.

If you have backlights its not going to be the tcon for future reference. you have some shorted or open LEDs in the panel. Check the voltage going to the LED sets, should be 100 plus volts

What board would you replace on a panasonic LCD TV model TC-55LE54 if you are getting a blackscreen

Hi Chris! It could be one of 4 things causing no backlights, LED driver, main, and power board, also it's possible the actual backlights have failed however Panasonic sets haven't seen this issue like most other brands have. Do you have a multi meter and can get some voltage readings? With out them it's a guessing game as to what board or boards are bad

Can you help me troubleshoot my TV? It has audio but no picture.

Use a voltmeter to confirm all the voltages are present when the TV is powered on. If they are all correct then replace the led driver.

I have un50h5203AF TV.The backlight came one for about 1 sec, don't see any backlights after that, not sure about audio I see menu w/flashlight when its on What parts do you suggest I start replacing?

It could be a few things, but since the backlights do come on briefly its one of two things, either a bad power supply board usually due to bad capacitors, or a bad LED driver board, usually due to failing capacitors or switching transistors. You can try replacing capacitors on the power supply board if your capable of doing it, if that doesn't work then move to the LED driver board, on some TV's the LED driver is part of the power supply board and you might not have a separate board. I would start by opening it up and visually inspect the power supply board, see if any of the caps are bulged or leaking on the top.

Sanyo DP46142 TV comes on for approximately 30 seconds and then screen goes black. Power LED stays on.

Sounds like a backlight problem to me. If you input a signal to the HDMI or Composite input and then it goes black have you tried taking a flashlight to the screen to see if the picture is still there but just dark? That would indicate a backlight issue. That model appears to be an LED edge lit backlight, so if the picture is still there after going black your going to have to trace out the backlight circuit and see whats going on. Usually with LED backlighting if it comes on at all then the LED's are good, its just the driver supply thats failing to keep them on. Some TV's have a small separate board that provides the backlight control, but i suspect with this model its on the power supply board and not the motherboard. Have you checked that board? It could be bad caps on the power supply board, check the voltages to the backlighting when it lights up and then when it goes dark. It could just be some failed capacitors on the power supply causing that voltage rail to drop off.
