SOURCE: Need a handle for the lid
I have seen this so many times you'd think rival would improve the handle with a better material...
I used a cover handle from a glass covered sause pan, you can get them at the dollar or thrift store- much better handle anyway.
I do not recommend using a drawer nob with teflon washers and a screw that you can get from the hardware store- the threads of the screw may (will) come in contact with the glass and the glass will break.
use a handle from a glass covered pan you already have or spend the 3 - 8 bucks at a dollar or thrift shop, and throw the pan out. it will be worth it just in less agravation and having a functional tool...
SOURCE: do you have a replacement
Believe or not, go to your local Goodwill Store! They have tons of crocks and the lids and the cookers separate frm each other that have been donated becase one of the pieces was broken and they donated the rest of the pieces. Lids and crocks typically range from $1.99 to $5.99 and you benefit your community at the same time.
