Hi Lihi Alroy!

If you lost a screw from your Dell computer, you could check with any service technician you know - I think no one would refrain from providing you a single screw.

Hope you may find this answer helpful!

Best regards,

Miguel L. Martins

I own a dell 2407wfp and lost the 4 thumb screws that hold the mount arm in the...

I fixed the problem myself. I got tired of the loud fan behind it keeping it cool. Here is how I did it.

Turn off the power and remove the monitor from the stand. Lay it on its face and remove the 4 black screws in the middle around the mounting surface for the stand. Flip it over and carefully pry the front away from the back . "BE CAREFUL NOT TO PULL TOO FAR AWAY AS YOU WILL DAMAGE THE CABLE TO THE BUTTONS"

Once the front bezel is free all the way around flip the monitor over onto its face. The back cover should slide off. Remove 8 screws holding 3 metal covers guarding the electronic boards. The right board slides to the right before lifting out. Once all 3 have been removed you will see the guts of the monitor. Find the heat sinks on the power supply. They will be covered in dust if they are like mine were. I used a Brush and can of Air to get them all clean.

Now for increasing the airflow up through the Hot stuff. I used a Dremel Tool to enlarge the holes already in the back plate and Cut out a hole in the back cover to let more air in. Its not pretty but it works.

Now remount it on the stand, Hook it up, and it should " cross your fingers " work.

My quinny buzz has lost a screw where can i find a new one

It all depends on the length or the screw and the thread of the screw itself. Check out home depot or any hardware store. Bring the stroller with you if needed and find a screw that fits. It should be an easy fix.

My laptop will not accept disc makes clicking noise then ejects it

The clicking noise is the drive head banging up against the stops. It is doing this because it has lost its home position. You should try a few other cd's or dvds. You may notice it will read a cd but not a dvd. If it clicks on both then unfortunetly it needs replacement. If it read cd but not dvd's then it may work for a while longer but will need replacement sooner or later.

This is common on laptop drives. If you have warrenty they should fix it. If you don;t this is something you can fix yourself. The drive is held in by one small phillips screw. Unscrew that and the drive slides out. Slide the new one in and put the screw back in and you are done and fixed.

A replacement drive should be available from several sources. Prices should be from $45 to $100. Check with Dell as well and compare the price and shipping costs.

If you do a search on google and bing using 'Dell Studio 17 replacement parts' you should find several possible sources. Here is one to start you out.

You can find these on ebay as well. But you may take a bit of a chance that you are getting a good one. Ebay can be the cheapest but if it doesn;t work then it isn;t much of a savings.

I have lost all icons on desktop, cd rom not

Sounds like your hard drive failed. Memory is cheap, so it's not an expensive fix and easy to do yourself with minimal skills. Once you open the case, there should be 4 screws holding the HDD in place, one fat ribbon type cable and one connector with 3 or 4 wires (power). You can just pop a new HDD in and reconnect and use your software disks to reload the operating system. Most computer repair shops can get the data off of your old drive and load it onto your new one.
By the way, you wouldn't happen to be a Limewire user would you? There seems to be a new trend connecting HDD failure and Limewire use. This is not yet proven but being investigated. It is likely not Limewire, but malware attached to downloaded media.

Lost right channel on Dell Digitial Juke Box

yes, you need to remove the roller (prod with screw driver at its base) then the plastic covers from the top and bottom of the dj must come off. this will expose eight screws total. remove them. then push the motherboard and the harddrive and bettery up through the case/shell. you will see the bad connections between the jack and the motherboard, solder them again to reestablish the connection. re assemble.

i am not saying this will not harm the dj, i did it a bit differently and screwed mine up. bestofluck

Dell 17' Flat screen

I used to fix a 19 inches LCD flat screen from Dell. There are 4 screws at the back of rear panel and no screw at the front frame. If there is no visible screw, you have to look for "capped" screw holes (little covers that fit flush with the case to hide the screws). If you don't see these neither, this must be a tension fit case. So, face the screen up and look for "rectangular hole" on the side edge (usually at the bottom edge of the screen). This will be a challenge to open without breaking it. You'll need a very thin flat screw driver and wedge it into that narrow rectangular hole. You can use any prybar if you don't have screw driver. It is not too deep. You may stab something important inside and pry it. Once it starts to spread, start sliding it along the seem and you should feel the tension tabs start "popping" open. Continue to work your way around until it's off. Hope this will help you to get the rear panel off. If there is anything I can help you with, feel free to let me know.
Thank you,
