Sharp Aquos 65" tv shows a large purple spot in the upper right quadrant of the screen. The spot only shows when certain colors are displayed on the screen. Bad panel?

Put the OPC off and check the conection for Pb signal.

Those lines are because of "Interlacing". a REALLY bad case of it. what are you watching when this happens?

I have the same problem with my 37" HP which is the same as Sharp Aquos, it's bad backlight inverter boards, the screen comes on for a second then nothing, no menu, no channel change indicator then turn it off and you hear the clicking of the power supply about 10 seconds after.

Hi,
Unfortunately the panel is cracked internally can't can't be repaired the whole panel has to be replaced. most times the panel will cost as much as you paid for the set. My son cracked ours when it was only 3 weeks old it doesn't take much force to ruin one.

SOURCE: some green spot, purple and red are showing on the tv screen

Try updating the software first :)
