It has a feature called "drop in" once enabled (settings in the Alexa app) you just say "Alexa, drop in on aaa" where aaa is the name of another Echo or Dot. Both must be in your contact list (which you create after enabling the feature). You can also say, "Alexa, call yyyy" where yyyy is any other person in your contact list. Unlike Drop in, Calls must be answered...just like a phone instead of an intercom.
