Our Miele G575 dishwasher element looks good but doesn't always heat up. I don't think the fault is in the element itself. I don'y have a repair (tech) manual so would appreciate any help re what might be failing, eg the thermostat or any other part that can influence the element...?

Will a Miele G575 Soap/rinse aid dispenser fit and work in a G664 dishwasher

The Soap/rinse aid dispenser of a Miele G575 is not compatible to be used in a G664 dishwasher. It is important to note that the dispenser is model-specific and not interchangeable between different models of Miele dishwashers. It is recommended to check the manual of your G664 dishwasher or contact Miele customer support to make sure you get the correct dispenser for your appliance.

Miele dishwasher not heating

hi,

you would have to turn the unit on it's side and remove the bottom plate and check with a multi meter the resistance of the heating element to see if the heating element is defective. i doubt the dishwashing liquid caused a fault other than causing the unit to over sud and spill water into the base. You could remove the panel under the door and have a look and see if you have flooded the base. if you have a float switch in the base (white polystyrene disc and switch) this will stop the unit from working as well. dry up any water and try it again. hope this helps and don't use the dishwashing liquid in the unit.

Candy Dishwasher Power Trip Problem...........................

Hi Adam,

Those are tough questions, it depends on accessibility of the parts in question, and the tools you have available to you.
It’s worth remembering that 80% of d/washer faults are mechanical in nature (even the electrical ones). I know that sounds like a contradiction in terms, however I am referring to things like loose connections, broken wires worn parts etc.
First thing to do is have a good look and weigh the job up (English colloquialism) A bad Neutral connection to the heater element would give you these symptoms. An open circuit heater would likely do the same. Moisture in an inappropriate place could also give similar problems.
After gaining access to the business end of the element, check for corroded connectors. If all seems well, and you have access to a multimeter, set it to ohms and measure across the two heater terminals with the wires disconnected. If you get no reading, then the heater element is open circuit and requires replacing. If you do get a reading, and still think the element is suspect, you could try disconnecting both feeds to the heater (not the earth) taping them up with good quality electrical tape so as to isolate them, then try your dishwasher on a cycle where the water would normally be heated. If it doesn’t trip the RCBs then heater is suspect.
This is a good starting point, and will enable you to assess weather you feel comfortable tackling replacing it or not (assuming it is faulty). If you don’t feel comfortable, may I suggest that you purchase the element from a spares supplier yourself, there are many good suppliers on line. Then have a service engineer fit it. This prevents your friendly repair man charging you $90.00 for a $20.00 part.
Of course, it goes without saying, that all these tests should be carried out with the appliance disconnected from the mains supply.

Good Hunting!

Regards……..Dave

Miele G575 Dishwasher

If the water level is not adjusted at the right level
(see Miele G 575 manual page 29),
the flap doesn't open at the right circle,or doesn't open at all.
(Cause of the low water level the machine makes more noise!)
======Now shut down the power for the machine!!!=============
To adjust the water level new,you have to open the shield(2 screws) under the
main door.(enginen compartment).(You don't have to move the machine!)
On the right ,right, right, hand side, there is a 6 cm round beige plastic box.
(the first thing you see to you right and very easy access)
Only one black water hose(about 1cm=1/4inch) and a few wires are going into this box.
This is the water level adjustment box.
In the middle of the beige plastic box is a beige plastic screw
to adjust the water level new.Turning it clock vise ,increasing
the water level.
(For the right water level, see page 29 in your G575 Miele manual)
The water level hasn't to be super price.Just in about and enough.
(It seems that the rubber membrane in the water level unit ages
and therefor it has to be readjusted after a longer time)

Miele G575

This sounds like the overflow trip switch has been activated. Some time back I had this problem with a Miele G664. The service man undid 4 screws on the door and removed front panel and found water in the drip tray, He then checked the pipes, outlet pipe had a pice of plastic bread tag stuck in it , this was slowing down the time it took to empty the water and the next fill made it overflow and switch off the dishwasher. He cleaned out the chanel on the overflow that was full of dust and fluff checked the levels to make sure the dishwasher was sitting true. Closed it all up and ran the dishwasher. Perfect!

Bill $160. It did take him the best part of an hour and I live a long way out of town.
