Hi Brendan, Hit menu, then Navi set up, then Cailbration, then clock set. There you can change the hour only, the system will only set the minutes automaticly.
Also - make sure you're NavData is set to the region you are in. I had to do that when I first got mine. You'll see a map of the USA and you can change the predetermined regions. I do not recall off the top of my head how to get to that screen. I am NOT sure if that has ANYTHING to do with the clock & time zones.
Thanks for that David, Unfortunately I live in New Zealand and mine is a Japanese import so everything is in Japanese. If I cld see some photos of the buttons I have to press would make it easier, even better I wish I cld change the language of it as I know it has english characters. Cheers anyway
Hi Brendan, Try going to You Tube:-

You might have to enter it in your search engine yourself
Hope this helps
Kind regards
David
I forgot to mention, that's not the video you watch. If you look to the right of the screen, you will see a video
"how to change the language from Japanese to English"

SOURCE: how do I set the clock in Alpine CDE-9872 CD receiver?
From the Owners Manual for the CDE-9872:
FixYa won't allow images larger than 150k, so that's why this is a little blurry.
I hope this helps! Please post rating, if it does.
