I have a large crack in the top of the casing above the freezer element, and the casing has blown which is not allowing the freezer to get to full operating temperature

My upright frost free aeg freezer had it's bottom drawer frozen solid into one big block of ice , the rest of the compartments were ok . Took 2 days to defrost it and all now seems fine .....excepting...

Hi,

With the door left open moisture would get into the unit behind the walls and into the duct work. The only way to fix this right is to unload it and let it unthaw for a day or so open. Once it is all defrosted and restarted it should be fine again.

no. the orange light is the temperature light and the green light is the mains light.

Upright freezer not cooling adequately

Go to there website and see if you can find your model. You can also contact them from there.

Also get yourself a stand alone fridge and freezer thermometer - leave it in for an hour -that will establish what the temperature really is which will help in diagnosing the cause.

Also trying unplugging it for 15 minutes so the display board loses power - then plug it back in - sometimes that will reset it.
