The controller most likely needs to be re-calibrated.
We had the same problem and called the company, who reset the travel and stop settings.
Apparently this can happen if the gate / gearing assembly goes 'off-track' and skips some teeth.
So call a tech who's qualified in this model, or
go to the website for this MM560, and download the manual.
My two cent's worth, anyway. :)
