If it's not getting adequate amount of water, that will cause it
Testimonial: "Thank you for your help. I had done everything that you suggested before I posted. I continued my search after eliminating all of the easiest possibilities. I didn't want to believe that was a bad pump, after all the dishwasher is only 23 months old. That was the problem. $150 later is running great1"
Hi bego.
as brian williams has told you thats what you should try.but if you want more info then read this.but i think you will find brian is right in what he is saying to you.
Dirty Filter/Pump. The power to spin the arms is usually related to the water pump for the dishwasher, but if the filter and pump are clogged, they won't put out enough pressure to operate the machine properly.

It looks like there is not enough water pressure to spin the spray arms. Loss of pressure may be due to various things, like damaged seal, cracked tubes, clogged filters, screens etc.
I suggest you take a look at the technician repair sheet that should be stored inside the front panel at the bottom of the door. Remove that panel under the door with screw driver. Inside, attached to the panel, you should find a troubleshooting guide and solution for technician. But it is easy to follow. Look at the section under "poor wash" and follow its recommendation. I had exact same problem - not enough water pressure. In my case, the chopper screen was clogged and the chopper assemply was broken. I followed the repair instruction above to remove the chopper assembly, cleaned the chopper screen and the washer now is as good as new. I will need to replace the chopper when the part arrives.
Good Luck

check to see if you are getting enough water.should be about 1/2 under the heater.if you are getting enough then check the chopper this is under the lower spray arm.could be broken.
SOURCE: middle arm of dishwasher not spinning
I'm the one that reported the same problem in November as "Guest". I fixed mine finally. I removed the middle arm again and noticed that the holes that spray a jet ot water causing the arm to turn aren't the ones on top. On the bottom of the arm there's a small hole at each end. I looked and one of the holes had a small piece of crud in it. I had to use the tip of an ice pick to dislodge it back into the arm. I then ran water into the arm several times hoping to get the item completely removed. I never did see anything come out but I then ran water through the arm holding it so the water could run out one end. The piece didn't show up in the hole again so I tried washing it to the other end. It still didn't show up so I guess it must have washed out the first time. It's been 3 or 4 weeks now and the arm is still functioning perfectly. Hard to believe that one little piece of trash can cause so much irritation. Good luck on this being the problem for others.

Switch to a brand name powder detergent like Electrosol or Cascade. Never use ultracheap, generic DW detergent powder in any dishwasher. Run a load with dirty dishes and see the results are.
If cleaning results remain poor open the sump area by removing the lower spray arm and the filter assembly. Remove all debris in and around the sump area. Inspect the impeller down there to make sure it is not broken and that it spins freely. Clean the filter well in the sink. Reassemble. Also, check all spray arm holes for blockage.
Run a load of dishes and check cleaning results. If problems continue, you almost certainly have a failing wash motor and replacement is your next step.
Post here is you would like more assistance. Good Luck!

Your water pump is blocked. You will need to either call a repair person or disassemble the top of the pump (inside the dishwasher, bottom) and check the water input duct. It just might be some food, etc.. that is blocking the input. But if you don't see anything then it will be further inside and will need to be removed and cleaned. BIG pain...
Best of luck. BTW, I've had the exact same problem but mine was further inside so I had to remove the whole dang pump, arggggggg.

Hi
As you have already cleaned and checked the arm for any
clogs then please make sure that all holes are open. Use a sharp metal pin to
clean the holes on the top spray arm. Make sure the water pressure is not low. The
top arm spins freely. If not then check the bearings for the arm. Hope
this helps...please post back for further assistance.

Dishwashers normally have a set of spray arms. One spray arm is placed at the bottom while the other is positioned beneath the upper tray. To examine the spray arms, first empty your dishwasher completely, then remove the bottom tray. The spray arm in the upper part is usually attached to the upper tray, and it is very easy to detach. After taking out the spray arm, let water run through them. If there is no blockage, water should be able to flow freely through the spray holes. Otherwise, there is blockage that needs to be cleared. Scrub the spray arm down with soap and hot water to remove any debris, and rinse with clean water. If the obstructions are stubborn, they can be removed with a small piece of wire instead.
