When you first scan either auto or manual it should ask if you want FTA or the entire channel list.some on the full list are scrambled and are pay for view.if you just want free to air then rescan manually and this will remove those channels that are scrambled.
if not the cable source then the MAIN pcb (not power pcb) controls all tuning. If you're using a cable box & some channels good/some channels scrambled, then is a cable issue.
That is how the channels are broadcast - reset the cable box and make sure your TV is digital ready to receive the signals. Some channels are just scrambled and you can't receive them. Go through your set up with your remote to channel search but some will still be scrambled because they are closed circuit or just for some broadcasts.
you need the scramble code and/or filter for whatever specific channel you are trying to recieve. there is no legal way to get this except from the subscription line for whatever channel it is you want.
