I believe you may have a draft restriction and this may stop the start up diagnostics. The draft detection switch is sometimes restricted or weak. Common problem. Tap the gas valve to see if the winter has caused the valve to seat heavily and stick.

Turn off the stove. Seriously. If my stove is on there isn't enough gas pressure sometimes for it to light.

FL2 means igniton failure that means the heater didnt lite make sure gas is on, is the ignitor glowing if not check the fuse on the red wires going to the ignitor sometimes the syphon loop gets plugged that will give you a flow issue

Jandy lite 2 pool heater will not stay lit.
I'm having the same issue as the above user with Jandy Lite 2 (which from what I can tell stands for the number of times that you can get this POS to work annually)!
The unit LIGHTS OFF, but WON'T STAY LIT! Igniter engages, gas valve opens, unit lights, burns for 10 seconds, and flames out. Error code FL 2, after third attempt, already replaced the flame sensor....
