Have Ck90g232 model,electric oven has no heat,the fan still works but not the light. All other ovens and hobs are functioning,is this an element issue and will a professional have to fix the problem?

The light may just be a burned out light bulb. Remove it and take it to an appliance store to find a replacement. As far as the oven goes, elements do burn out. They are relatively inexpensive. Make sure you have turned the oven OFF before you do anything. The heating elements do pull out and you can replace them yourself. Take the information about your oven and the heating element to an appliance store for a direct replacement.

Had a similar problem. The overheat sensor had failed to the open position and the oven control would light up and you could set the temp, but it would drop to 100 degrees and then go blank.

Dear customer,
i recommend u to try the following routine to sort out this problem

  • Check timer and clock settings
  • Reseat the element
  • Test the element
  • Test the element connectors
  • Test the oven temperature control
  • Test the oven selector control
  • Recalibrate the temperature control

    From symptons, I would say the fan oven element is faulty, more so if the fan is working. Remove inner rear panel of oven and see if element gets warm, let it run for a minute, switch off and feel if element is warm, if not, then replace.the element.

    Had exactly the same problem and just had the samsung engineer out (as it was only 3 months old ) who replaced the thermostat. all is now working ok

    This tutorial will show you how to check your Smeg element and how to replace your Smeg cooker element.
    Here are the 3 main faults to look for in your oven or cooker that is not heating
    1. Your oven will not work until the clock/timer has been re-set after replacing an oven element or tripping the electrical supply. Consult your Smeg manual.
    2. If your Oven is not getting hot or heating up it could be a faulty element, if the fan in the oven is running and the thermostat light is on, this will lead us to believe that the element has gone faulty. With grills the thermostat light should come on there should be heat, if not then this could be the grill element or the thermostat.

    Fan in main oven boken
    Sounds as if your oven heating element has failed. You need to fit a new one.

    Usually you have to get the back off, disconnect the old element, remove the fixxing screws and element, fit new one, reconnect and it should be fixed. Don't forget to switch the power off before starting work.

    I have a zanussi buit under double oven the main oven all the lights come on but no heat. it worked yesterday well top oven works and so does gas hob
    If it is an electric oven and fan assisted, and the fan is working o/k, then you need to fit a new oven element, located behind plate at rear of oven.

    Hotpoint ew83p oven has no heat
    The oven fan element has failed, you need to fit a new one.

    Remove inner rear panel of oven and you will see the round element at rear.Unscew screw(s) that secure element, disconnect leads, and fit new element.
    Refit element cover.
    Job done..
    Make sure you have power off to oven before you start.

    Hi. When I moved into my property I had a fan oven worked perfect and then one of the dials broke and they replaced it with an electric one and said contractors aren't suppose to put in fan ovens and talking about prices and only allowed to soend so much do fan oven cost more? Also he put in an electric cooker but everything it's taking double time to cook. I done a roast and took 3-4 hours to cook the meat was only suppose to take 1hr and 50 mins it took 3 hours and 4 hours for the actually crackling to cook which I had to seperate and leave cooking while we was eating our dinner. We was eating at 8 by this time my kids were tired and we didn't enjoy it.
