Could be a couple reasons:

1. This tablet is a little low-end and may require more resources than the tablet can offer.
2. The version of the app you're running may be out of date or is incompatible with the version of android your tablet is running.

If the app is very important to you, you might want to look at their webpage for supported/recommended hardware.

Perhaps your computer needs more RAM to handle this application? As games and apps are improved and upgraded, sometimes they are not optimized for slightly older PCs. An iPad handles its cache much differently, so it's hard to make a comparison there. You might consider upgrading to see if that is the issue. GOOD LUCK!!
