SOURCE: TV screen on video 2 and remote died

The only way your going to change the video mode is with the original remote. If you need another remote go to http://remotes.com or call 1800 remotes Theres a button on the upper left hand side of the remote called video mode. A universal most of the time will not work this function. You could ask around to your friends and buddies or relitives if anyone has a working Sanyo remote or go to a local retailer that sells Sanyo and see if he would let you borrow one for a little while so you can switch out of the video mode. Good Luck

Have new E370VL hooked up to Dish Network via coax. The picture jumps/blips? Connections are tight. Help.

This can happen when there is radio interference near the coaxial cables. Sometimes the interference is behind walls. The solution is to try a different combination of modulation and channel than what the DISH receiver is current set.

The DISH menu screen for this setting is Menu-6-1-5. With dual-tuner receivers, typically "TV 1 Out" is the TV that is connected in the same room as the receiver is located. "TV 2 Out" is the tuner that is fed to the remote TV via backfed coaxial signal.

All that needs to be done is to change the channel and mode going to the effected TV to something different. If your channel/mode is currently set to Air/60, try changing it to Cable/73. When you change the mode/channel in the DISH receiver, you need to set the remote TV to the same mode and channel.

Keep in mind that with some TV companies like VIZIO, they call their "Air" mode "Antenna". With VIZIO's the TV must be set on TV input and then go into the Menu to the Settings, Tuner Settings. Change mode type to match what you are trying on the DISH receiver, exit the VIZIO menu and manually enter the channel number.

Eventually with trial and error, you will find a mode/channel combination that isn't effected by your particular environmental interference.

Bought it used without a manual. when turned on the channel is set to a channel that we dont receive. cant figure out how to set a new start channel.

You can access the on-screen menu by pressing the Vol+ and Vol- buttons together on the front of the TV . Alternatively use a remote and press Menu to access the menu (not all low end remotes will match the feature) An exact replacement remote is available here: http://www.remotes.com/remotes/servlet/rs?a=gmi&uuid=12878563535890&smodel=MS3252S&brand_pn=MAGNAVOX_MS3252S . Then use the channel up and down buttons on the TV to select menu items. If using the remote use the play, fast forward, fast rewind back and pause to go through the menus. Press Menu to go back one level in the menus.

Once you have the menu up, go to the bottom of the list to Install. Select Tuner Mode (the options are Antenna, Cable and Auto) and make sure that is set correctly. Next select Auto Program to look for all available channels or Edit Channels to change the channels you will see when you change the channel with the Channel up and down buttons.

Please note that the TV only has an NTSC (analog) tuner and must be used with a set-top box to see any channels other than the remaining low power stations that have not switched to digital.

Once you have a new channel list, the TV will remember the last state it was in. (Please note that the A/V inputs are reached by pressing Channel up or down past the tuner channels.

I hope this helps.

Hello

Your TVs front control buttons are inoperative except menu button. There are microswiches fitted inside the main board of your tv from which shafts ar extented towars the front of the cabin where you press to access the functions. Replace all the micro swiches inside at onetime. It won't cost more. Micro swiches as they have said is mini swiches, which can get damaged easly with high pressure thumb or impact put on it.

Cannot access channel 73 on TV2

If you are unable to access the TV menu using the buttons on the TV itself it is possible you can with the TV2 remote if it still controls the volume etc. for this TV. If it doe not you will need to find a code for your set in the manual for the receiver or you can go to the following link to find that info as well.http://tech.dishnetwork.com/departmental_content/TechPortal/content/tech/receiver/625.shtml
Assuming you have control of the volume still press the small TV button on the top left of the remote. Now press the menu button and you may be able to access the TV's menu. If so you need to run a channel scan/auto program the TV. You may need to use the buttons on the TV still to maneuver through the menu.
If you are still unable to access the menu you may need to purchase a universal to access the menu.
