Hi don't have a vid i have a ripspeed dv720 it will play CDs but not DVDs it keeps coneing up bad disc any ideas

ripspeed are prone to problems, just a cheap equivelent for an in car dvd, most likely the laser is goosed

I have a ripspeed DVD 720 when I wired it in the power button just flashed red for a bit and that's it it won't turn on or do anything?

Sounds like the power supply in the dvd player has failed. It works just well enough to turn on the led infront but as soon as you go to do anything it shuts off. This is common in cheaper dvd players. Unless you can troubleshoot electronics. Or know someone that can. Your best bet is to unplug the unit and disassemly and retrieve your dvd.

Hi just tried fitting my ripspeed dvd player power comes on for about 10 secs then says bye bye and goes off can any one help??????

Check the fuse on the red wire hasn't come loose.

Check the fuse on the yellow wire isn't blown.

Check both are connected simulataneously.

Common fault!

I need help wiring a sub to a ripspeed dvd-730 cd player.because it has to aux-in wires but 1 sub out wire.

the phono out is the feed to the sub, if your amp has high input socket then run feed from normal speaker feed from head unit, or pop into halfords and ask the ripspeed specialist

Ripspeed in car dvd player

I had a similar problem with mine I have just had a technical fault with mine and the only solution i could find was through halfords. If its under warranty they send it off to their supplier AEL to solve. If its no longer under warranty like mine, they send it off at an initial £60 cost which could escalate if the problem is larger.

Ripspeed dv-725 problem when trying to play dvd it says attention, do not use this function!

Your Player doesn't support DVD/CDs that are burnt on High Speed DVD/CD Recorders. To resolve this, you should either burn DVD/CDs at 4x(DVD) & 24x(CD) or go for a newer, higher end DVD Player.

I have a ripspeed dv920i in car dvd player but it has just turned off and wont come on again i carnt find any one to repair

I had the same problem, HALFORDS sent the unit away to have the firmware re-flashed and now it works perfectly again..... These units were re-called apparently due to problems with the software.

HALFORDS staff may be able to advise you about where the unit can be repaired.

Well, it sounds like you need a new output IC, which is what produces sound to the speakers.
