You'll need to be in an area that your carrier offers a 4G signal that is strong enough to reach your phone. If the best signal in your area is only 3G, then that's all you'll get.

My Alcatel One Touch Fierce 2 use to get 4g signal in my home just fine but ever since I got rid of my internet it will only get 2g. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Is your mobile serviced by the Insternet Service Provider? In this case might be some contractual issue.
As a general case, 4g depends from your mobile service provider, so contact Consumer's Attention to get solved the problem.
