Dishwasher lights are all flashing

I have a kitchenaid dishwasher KUDC022RBL1 less than 2 years old. Will not work at all, lights either are all flashing or not flashing. Will not come on or even start to work. When hit cancel button it will try and drain even though there is no water. No idea what is wrong?

If you do have the Touch Control Electronic Pad, then you do have a problem, moisture related. You need to open the panel, use a Hairdryer to dry the panel properly and replace. This sorts many of these Touch Control Electronic Pad.

The start light is flashing on my GE dishwasher?

What's the model number? How old is this dishwasher? The new GE dishwashers (less than 3 years old) have a weakness in the door switch/latch assembly, and that would cause the light to flash - it wants you to press Start and close the door, but it's not recognizing that the door is closed.

Dishwasher starts then pauses and drains.

Fixed! I had the issue where the cycle would start, the KUDS30IXBL8 would hum 4-5 times and then drain. Plastic folk pieces jammed in the disposer. These instructions took a few minutes (only 5 screws and a couple clips) to figure out how to take it apart, and it only took 60 seconds to put back together. KitchenAid kudpo1flss dishwashe wont do anything. If you push the buttons to start wash nothing lights up and it will not start. thanks for any help you can provide.

Hello,
I have this identical model and have had this identical problem twice now, as the dishwasher is 6 years old. I contacted my appliance parts store and they sold me a thermal fuse. Changed it out, less than $25, worked like a charm. Tech ability needed is 4/10 to disassemble door, rewire fuse, reassemble.

TOP SPIN ARM NOT SPINNING TO CLEAN TOP RACK OF MY KITCHEN AID DISHWASHER. IT IS ONLY 1 1/2 YEARS OLD AND MY TOP TACK IS SUDDENLY NOT CLEANING

Hi.

First ensure that the arm is not getting stuck, and check that the orifices are free.

When the top arm is not spinning you may need to replace pump and motor assembly. First it is good looking for blockage in pump hose.

If the appliance is less than two year old, then it may be covered by limited warranty. Call Kitchenaid at the number listed in the owners manual to verify your warranty status.

Regards.

Dishwasher not working - Cancel light flashing

If your dishwasher doesn't work at all, check these:

Power from the house
Door switch
Wiring
Timer or selector switch
Power from the house Is there power getting to the dishwasher? This can be difficult to test, because dishwashers are usually wired directly to an electrical circuit, rather than plugged into the wall. But at least check for a blown fuse or a tripped circuit breaker.

Door switch The door switch is important because, if it's defective, the dishwasher won't work at all. To reach it, you need to remove the control panel cover, or sometimes the interior liner of the door. If it's defective, you need to completely replace it.

Wiring Often the main wiring connection from the house, at the dishwasher, burns and breaks the connection. If that's the problem, the wires must be repaired/replaced as necessary. If that's not the problem, check the wiring to the door switch, the wiring between the door and the lower part of the dishwasher, and the wiring to the timer. Repair any broken, burned, brittle, or defective wiring, using the proper appliance-grade wire and connectors.

Timer or selector switch Although it's uncommon, the timer or the selector switch may be defective. If so, you need to replace the defective part, because neither of these can be repaired.

It sounds like your touchpad is faulty. It can be removed by opening dishwasher door and removing 4 Torx screws along upper edge. Be sure power to unit is off before working on it.
