Was the set dead before you replaced the power board?

Laptop screens often have several bulbs incorporated in the screen. Most oftern, the screen itself must be replaced. You can go on the samsung website and look up specifications on your laptop model. Some sites also have the option of chatting with a tech support person. If so, they could give you answers about the LCD screen on your laptop and if you can replace parts of the laptop screen or if the entire screen needs replacing. Is your laptop have any warranty coverage?

CHECK YOUR RED ,GREEN AND BLUE CRT'S THERE MAY BE A SMALL CRACK ON THEM.MAKE SURE TO TAKE THE YOKE OFF AND INSPECT THE ENTIRE TUBE IF THER IS A CRACK IT IS CAUSING YOUR TV TO GO INTO SAFE MODE. ALSO CHECK THAT NONE OF THE COOLING FLUID HAS DRAINED OUT OF THE TUBES ON TO THE CRT BOARDS IF SO REPLACE THE BOARDS AND CRT IF CRACKED. YOU CAN FIND ALL THE PARTS AT PARTSTORE.COM HOPE THIS HELPS.

Try unplugging the TV for a few minutes (discharges the ballast/ps) then plug in and attempt to power on. I have the 42P Vizio over two years old and ran into the same problem a few times. First thought was a power supply issue, but the unplugging trick worked. Good luck.
