What is base 6 of 486

for converting 486 to the base 10 to base 6 dived 486 by 6 and note the quotients and remainder.

486/6 = quotient = 81 remainder = 0.now divide quotient by 6 and note quotient and remainder.

81/6 = quotient 13 remainder= 3

13/6 = quotient 2 remainder = 1 .

2/6 = quotient 0 remainder= 2.

Hence reading remainder from below we get 2130.

So 486 tot he base 10 is equivalent to 2130 to the base 6.

Thank you.

My handy tone-486 box keeps flashing red every 3 seconds and I have no dial tone. My internet works and I have power and a working phone line to the box. Help.

Lifted this straight from the manual:

Button flashes every 4 seconds
(if SIP server is configured)
HT–486 fails to register

So basicly, that means your HandyTone 486 ATA fails to register with the SIP-server. That means you either have not recieved your IP-tele yet, or that your ISP have failed to register you.

I can't instal windows 95

IIRC the very early Windows 95 installation required CD-ROM drivers prior to Win95 set up, this was achieved using the supplied diskette.

The work-around for this issue is to do the initial install on a different system and transfer the HDD to your 486 system, this must be done BEFORE windows configures the driver set OR setting the drivers to MS default is required following completion of setup (on surrogate system).

Password for 486

Remove the battery from the mother board.
Jumper the CMOS to discharge it. You may
want to check you Mother Board manual, to
see which jumper it is. Some require you to
turn the Mother Board BACK ON for two seconds. (It will NOT come up, just will
discharge the CMOS and the battery will NOT
be there to replace the energy, so everything
is GONE. You will know if you have done it right, when
you boot up again, the BIOS will NOT recognize the hard disk (need to set it up
again), the date will be wrong (set it up again also) and the floppy drive will not
be recognized (new setup). But then try your password. It should let
you right in then. Let me know if it works. Best Regards, PS Make sure you have the right mother
board jumpers to discharge the CMOS, YOU
CAN DO DAMAGE ALSO, if they are not the
right ones.
