Gram is a measurement for weight and the milliliters are measurement for volume. Correlation between them depends on the consistency of the measured liquid. If it's about water, then it's easy. 118 ml water (at 23deg Celsius, to be precise) will be exactly 118 grams.

How many ml is equal to 18mg

Depends what you are measuring. You need to repost with the material that you are measuring.

For example, 1 litre of water weighs 1 kilogram.

So, 1 litre of water weighs 1,000 grams.

Thus, 1,000 millilitres weighs 1,000 grams

So, 1 millilitre weighs 1 gram.

Thus, 18/1000 millilitres weighs 18/1000 grams.

I get 0.018 ml = 18 mg.

Good luck,

Paul

Convert mg to ml

The milligram is the 1/1000 part of a gram. The gram (g) is a unit of quantity of substance or mass.
The milliliter (or millilitre) is the 1/1000 part of a liter (or litre). The liter is a unit of capacity (or volume).
In truth you cannot compare units of mass and units of volume because each unit measures mass and the other volume. Similarly people express distance (kilometers, or miles) in minutes or hours. How far is the store? Instead of saying 10 or 20 miles they would say half an hour. Well half an hour of driving in the city cover a lot less distance than half an hour on the highway or half an hour for the bullet train.
When you are talking about water in its liquid state (not vapor nor ice) at a temperature of about 4 degrees Celsius, 1 gram of water occupies 1 cm^3 or 1 mL. So 1/1000 of a gram occupies 1/1000 of a milliliter or 1/1000 000 of a liter.

How many mili-litres in 1 gram

A millilitre is a measure of volume, a gram is a measure of mass. One millilitre of water masses one milligram, one milliliter of gold masses quite a bit more.

Why does 100 grams equal 100 milliletres

100 millilitres of water weighs 100 milligrams. 100 millileters of lead weighs quite a bit more. The reason for this is that initially one gram was defined as the weight of one milliletre of water.
