Uniden scanner won't scan

If your Uniden scanner won't scan, there are a few things you can do to try to fix the problem. The first thing you should do is check to make sure that the scanner is properly plugged into an outlet and your computer. If it is plugged in and still not scanning, try restarting your computer. If that doesn't work, you may need to update the scanner's software. You can download the latest software updates from Uniden's website.

I recently purchased a Uniden bc345crs scanner. I programed 5 codes, but it will only scan one of the codes continuously. What do I need to do to have it scan the other programs? Thanks

Make sure you do have frequencys stored. Turn it on, push button to clock, then press bitton to scanner, then press hold, then the channel # you want it in, press hold again, now press e, enter frequency, press e again, if you want more channels press up, press e. Do this until channels are full or what you want. Then press scan if radio is ok it should scan.

Why does it say error after entering a frequency then pressing E/PGM?

An ERROR message during programming normally means that you've entered a frequency that is outside your scanner's tuning range. Check your operating manual for ranges that are covered by the scanner. Need the manual? You can download and print it, at no cost, here:

I couldn't locate the manual for your scanner, but it's basically the same as the BC860XLT, except that the 860 has 100 channels. Other than that, all controls and functions are the same. You can download and print the manual for the 860 here:

I cannot figure out how to program my scanner to the fire frequency.

To program any known frequency into your BC72XLT, power the scanner ON, and then:

1. Press Hold. Then enter the channel number where you want to store a frequency, then press Func and Pgm. The channel number appears.
2. Use the number keys and to enter the frequency (including the decimal point) you want to store.
3. Press E to store the frequency into the channel.

Notes:
• If you entered an invalid frequency in Step 2, Error appears and the scanner beeps three times. Enter a valid frequency.
• The scanner automatically rounds the entered number to the nearest valid frequency. For example, if you enter 151.473 (MHz), your scanner accepts it as 151.475.
• When you enter a frequency into a channel, the scanner automatically turns on the delay function and DLY appears. When delay is turned on, the scanner automatically pauses scanning 2 seconds after the end of a transmission before scanning proceeds to the next channel. To turn the function off or on, press Func + Dly.
• If you enter a frequency that has already been entered elsewhere, the scanner sounds an error tone and displays the channel that was duplicated. If you entered the frequency by mistake, press then enter the correct frequency. To enter the frequency anyway, press E to
accept.

4. To program the next channel in sequence, press E then repeat Steps 2 and 3.

How do i program my BC 55xlt uniden scanner?

To program:

Turn on radio.

It will be in scan mode. Press Manual (orange button) to stop scanning.
Press Manual button to step through channels to get to the one you want.
(Or press channel number and then manual button)

If "LockOut" is displayed it means this channel isn't being "Scanned."
Pressing Lockout will toggle the status.

To program:

Select channel. Use keypad to enter frequency. Use "E" for Enter
key. If the radio displays an E this means Error. Usually, the
frequency you typed in is outside of the capabilities of the scanner.

Once you hit the E you will immediately start hearing anything that's
out there on the frequency you entered.

Push the "Review" button and the scanner will display the frequency
that is programmed for the channel. A "-" will be displayed for the
decimal point.
