Question about Kenmore Washing Machines
If you haven't got it now, google your model of top-loading washer - manuals are always helpful - Being it is a top loader, oL as most can expect means overload! The simple response is to unload some of the clothes and try doing a smaller load - the newer top loader machines are not as 'strong' as the old days with an agitator - second possibility is whether or not you have lost something that has gone down between the inner and outer bowls that make up the washing are - not sure as I have not seen one exactly, but most of the bowls where the clothes sit, have holes - anything stuck in a hole causing the inner and outer bowls from working as they were designed? good Luck

the OL error is for over load.that is when you over load the clothes in the washing machine.
If your washer doesn't spin or agitate on either the delicate or regular cycle, check these:
Selector switch If your washer has a selector switch on the control panel, make sure the button for your selection is pressed all the way in, or set properly.
Clutch assembly Many GE®/Hotpoint® washers use a clutch and an automatic shift lever. This assembly is quite complicated. If there's a problem with it, you probably should contact a qualified appliance repair technician.
Drive motor Many washing machines have multiple-speed drive motors. Though it's uncommon, the drive motor may work fine on one speed but not on another. If the drive motor has failed on one speed, you need to replace the entire motor.

sounds like you are dealing with the same problem as me .
take off the front panel (after unplugging power) take a flash lite and look at the large pulley at the back just below the pulley is the helix check to see if they are worn .

The "oL" error code in the Cabrio and Bravo washers means the motor is sensing an overload ("oL") condition. While this could indicate a problem with the motor, it usually doesn't. Most of the time, you'll see this error code when one of two things is going on:
1) There's a piece of clothing stuck between the inner basket and outer tub.
2) The tub is not floating freely, usually because it's seized to the drive shaft by rust and crudus; FYI: this condition is almost always caused by using non-HE detergent in this washer. Also, be aware that, if this is the case, it can be very difficult to remove the basket from a badly corroded drive shaft, could even be a two-man job.
