You must log on to the Administrative console as a system administrator, then reset the user password to the default. I am sorry that I cannot tell you the web address for the admin console, or your default address as I didn't set up your system. Hopefully you have that documentation or the company that set up the system for you can give you that info.

Try pressing and holding the "find handset" or "page" button on the basestation until the phone stops beeping. This should clear the new message LED indicator.

I had this same problem with 2 NEC VT595 projectors. My problem was that there was a broken "tab" on the lamp cover (the plastic cover that slides in place over the lamp) that is supposed to depress a switch which insures the lamp cover is in place before operating the projector. The tab was broken in half and not making the connection there for causing the blinking status light (.5 sec on, 2.5 sec off) indicating a lamp housing or cover error.

how many times? that will tell you what's wrong:
1x- lamp cover (close lamp cover)
2x- temperature problem (too hot. clean out and cool down)
3x- power problem (check power)
4x- fan problem (one or more fans not running)
6x- lamp fails to light (lamp or ballast problem)
