Xp hangs and pc stop responding during Xp installation.

Acer aspire 1642.
problem begings as 1 day mouse and keboard slows very much.

I reinstalled win Xp no improvement.
I changed partition reinstalled win Xp ,no improvement.(mouse and keboard are ok in begining of installation, in middle they slow down.)

I installed Norton antivirus update it scaned computer i found a virus ,i deleted the virus and again formated window for reinstallation.
now it hangs during installation.

I had same problem, and finally I installed Windows 2000. It works but I had to install all driver software - so inconvenient.

Location off viruses is on SYSTEM RECOVERY and it can't be cleaned.It's just one way:

If u can change the PIN off HDD.It can do just programmer!
So my solution is just buy new hdd

Touchpad does not work

in such case you can restore your program to old date...such as 5 days before.. hope your touhpad will work like before..

restore your program to the early date from when your touchpad was working...

reinstall touchpad driver....
otherwise you have to reinstall your Operating System...

During reinstall of XP on Dell Dimension 9100, half way through process the mouse/keyboard locks up and cannot continue with install. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Try using an optical mouse of the latest technology and maybe try a USB key board. Maybe this will make some difference.Try to use the most popular ones for starters...............sodeep
