GE ice maker has no green light (Model GSS25QGTAWW). I've switched it off and back on a number of times. Can you point me toward a fix or toward further diagnostic steps?

Replace the control board. It is not supplying power to the icemaker.

SOURCE: Ice maker stopped working w/red light blinking

The blinking light is an indication that your built in water filter needs to be replaced, it's in the refer. side, middle top or rear of refer.

SOURCE: Ice maker in our GE profile refrigerator is not working

Ice maker Diagnostic Test:

- Remove the ice bucket
-Turn the ice maker off, wait 15 seconds than turn it back on
-Press the ice paddle three times, this will begin diagnostic test.
-PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH ICE MAKER DURING DIAGNOSTICS

-In 3 minutes you should see the rack inside turn 360 degrees
-AND the ice maker bowl should fill with water

-IF either DID NOT work, call 1-800-GE-CARES for ice maker replacement. A service call is approx $80. The $80 will be deducted from the part/labor if you choose to purchase/install parts from the service technician. If not, you will pay for the service call. Good luck.

SOURCE: Whirlpool Gold Refrigerator (GS5SHAXNLOO) Ice maker not running, some ice in maker melted together

I have the same model. This has happened to me several times (usually when the door was kept ajar without notice).
Simply open the door, take a common hairdryer and blow at high speed (hottest also) all around the area of where you can feel the ice in the tray, but hasn't dumped yet. It will usually take about 5-8 minutes of consistently moving back and forth around that area. What has happened is the lines bringing water to the trays have frozen over. When you "thaw" them out, the ice made will dump in about 45 minutes. When you hear the ice fall, you will know it's in working order again. I have NOT heard this is a "flawed" icemaker, only that it is hypersensitive to freezing lines when a door is left ajar. In your case, to prevent this from happening again. If you shut the icemaker off again, make SURE you turn off the source of the water feed BEFORE you turn off the ice maker. By doing this, the lines will empty as it makes it's last tray of water. Try that - very confident it will fix your problem!

the part is 32 bucks and if you are able to follow the video repair you can do it yourself. two things needed a putty knife and a phillips screwdriver. Probably a 45 min fix.
they have a 800# to confirm DIY repair. and insure the part is a exact replacement, or just to confirm the issue.
repair trip charge and labor could easily exceed the part $ x 3 to 4 times.

Gss20I eph ice maker ?? If I turn the switch of

I am almost sure the model ice maker for your refrigerator is Click Here=> WR30X10093 and the model number for your refrigerator is GSS20IEPHWW or SS for Stainless. It sounds as if a bad connection on the ice fill arm. The truth is they are electronic and made in China along with most of the parts on your GE. I replaced mine that was the mechanical type with this same model number WR30X10093 and the mechanical lasted 15 years. If you manually can make it work one time and fills properly but after one cycle yet turns itself off my focus is on the ice maker. If you want to check OHM's to the dual water control valves they should both be about the same. Applying 120 volts to each side of the coils being water dispenser side and ice maker side will or should open them. But you just said that moving the arm that it will fill one time so I am back to the ice maker again. If water control valve for ice maker side did not work you would not be able to do that. Ice maker is not working

Try this, pour tap water into ice maker and let freeze. If it dumps after freezing and does not refill with water it will point to water control valve. If it does nothing then the ice maker has the problem. I am really not sure what model or style of Pofile so I will need your model number to find part numbers and locations. Most profiles have electronic ice makers and if they go bad there are only a few fixes on some models depending on model number. Sea Breeze

GE ICE MAKER, VERY LITTLE ICE,

I had this problem with my GE ice maker not working and it was an unbelievably easy fix. If you have the same ice maker then you will see a green light by the power switch. Below the ice maker is a "paddle" ice sensor. The paddle is attached to the ice maker and there is a coil type tension spring. If your paddle is loose, make sure the end of the spring (the pointy wire end) is inserted into a small hole. You probably can't see the hole but move the wire end until it pops into the small hole. You should now have tension on the paddle. At this point I had heard that the freezer light bulb may be drawing too much current for the ice makers motherboard. I removed the bulb and, UNBELIEVABLY, the ice maker began making ice! Try removing or replacing the LIGHT BULB first!

Ice maker only dispenses crushed ice, won't dispense cubed ice anymore.

I have a GE TFX25ppbaaa refrigerator. The ice maker corkscrew motor would run and provide crushed ice only. The corkscrew motor would not run when the switch was moved to the cubed ice ( half moon) setting.

I replaced the large Light/ water/ crushed ice/cubed ice switch , ( product service number GEH WR55X129 ) ( part number GE 162D6372 PO17 )and it fixed the problem. Cost was about $43.00.

GE gss25kgma icemaker not working, can not get the green light to stop flashing, tray will not fill up with water, water is working. Have turned on and back on.

It is either your electronic ice maker or the inlet valve , order the ice maker kit with your model number and it includes both parts. this will fix it.

Ice maker is not filling with water.

Check the water valve on back that sends water to ice maker Sometimes the coil is bad and sometimes the ice maker is not telling the valve to open. According to the manual for your refrigerator:
Blinking green light indicates an ice cube is stuck in the icemaker. To fix - Turn off the ice maker with the on/off switch. Then remove all of the ice from the icemaker by hand and turn it back on.

I hope this helps.
