My new Bosch washing machine has just torn a bra in 2 places with and what looks like a black burn is this a known problem?

It was in a mixed load with 2 sheets and a small towel, the other washing was ok.

Its good practice never to mix small items in with large ones
Most manufactures will mention this in their manuals

SOURCE: MAYTAG WASHING MACHINE

The rubber smell is the belt from the motor to the tub. The grinding sound is/was the tension pulley that keeps the belt tight. The bearing on the pulley probably went out and now the belt is burning because of the friction of sliding around the pulley. The belt and the pulley need to be replaced. If you have the room, turn off and disconnect the hoses. Unplug the electrical cord from the wall outlet. Remove the drain hose and any water in the tub. Carefully tip the washer over backwards, DO DROP IT!!! Now you should be able to see the motor, tub, tension pulley, and belt. With a basic 3/8' drive socket set, probably metric, and a couple of screw drivers you should be able to remove the belt and the pulley. Take the belt, pulley, and model numbers to an applicance parts store and buy replacements.

I only suggest this because I hate paying labor. If you are not machanically inclined then you are going to have to pay the labor.

Good Luck

SOURCE: Hard scratchy towels. Have used all wash cycles, and use fabric softener

have you tried just white vinegar as your rinse aid. Do a full cycle of your washing machine using white vinegar instead of detergent, to clean any residue from pipes, and then in the next wash try white vinegar as your rinse aid.

SOURCE: I have a dirty rubber inner Bosch Maxx 1200 Front Loading Washing

First clean around the rubber with some mould and mildew cleaner for bathrooms - available from most supermarkets.

This is a natural accumulation of waste detergent, fabric softener, fibres and dirt build up that is being attacked by bacteria and eventually decomposes into a sludge / goo and then eventually starts smelling bad as well.

To keep the machine clean of waste build up and to keep any bad odours away:

1. Remove all items from the washer.
2. Open the dispenser drawer and 2/3 cup (160 mL) of liquid chlorine bleach to the bleach compartment. DO NOT use more than 2/3 cup (160mL) of bleach per cycle as this will lead to product damage.
3. Close the washer door and dispenser drawer.
4. Select the Clean Washer cycle or a full wash cotton 104 F wash (40 C). DO NOT use any higher temperature as this will cause unnecessary fumes
5. Press Start and allow cycle to complete.
6. After the cycle is complete, leave the door open slightly to allow ventilation and drying of the washer interior.
7. Repeat the cleaning procedure monthly

SOURCE: drum not working on bosch washing machine

I would say that the brushes want replacing in the motor, access to the motor is by removing the rear panel, remove the belt, and undo screws securing motor, remove motor, brushes are located at rear end of motor.

How do you remove bra wire from Bosch serie 4 washing machine

Oh this is not good. Is there any portion of the wire that you can get a hold of with pliers? If not you can look on youtube for the videos about the machine disassembly.

Why does my new bosch washing machine throw my detergent pouch onto the door where it stays throughout the wash?

Try placing the detergent pouch inside the load of clothes, where it will be held in place until it dissolves. 1/2 load of clothes + pouch + 1/2 load of clothes

How do I remove a piece of metal from bra which has got stuck under the insiden cylinder and drum

it completely has to be pulled apart and once you have done that you will probably find the bra wire while spinning around has ripped into the plastic outer tank so bad it will now leak and have to be replaced & this is the most expensive job to have done it sounds silly for a bra wire but you should honestly consider buying a new machine it often ends up cheaper to do so rather than spending 3/4's of the price of a new one fixing your one.

Water did not pump out? First the door would not unlock. Got that open and there is still water in machine. There is a missing bra strap from last load.

your half way there bra strap will be jamming pump impellor this will be difficult to remove as it will probably prevent you from unscrewing filter cap try tipping machine back and working at filter cap you may get lucky also check inside of drum with torch you may see the end poking into drum.

I have a 6 year old Bosch Exxcel 1100 front loader which won't do anything other than hum. The cycle won't start and no response even on a spin only.

it will more than likely be a bra wire caught in the filter it has happened to me twice. you may be able to get to it from the front opening (bottom right) but probably will have to manualy drain it then tip it back as far as it will go safely against something then underneath attached to the rear of the filter and onto the drum is a fat black rubber tube. remove this it is held in place vie a clip and a small star spangled screw once off you should be able to delve in and find your problem good luck

Bra underwire stuck in Bosch WAE22461AU

You can try using a very high strength magnet to bring the clip up to a hole in the tub so that you can then use a pair of fine long nose pliers to grasp it and reef the little blighter out!

There is a strong electrical burning smell

Burning smell was actually coming from the main incoming power supply to the house, not the washing machine. Problem solved.

If filter cap is broken how do i open it on my bosch washing mach

I had the same problem. If it's stuck you may want a tool. I ended up using a pair of pliers on this plug. You may want to use a pair of vice-grip locking pliers and put a piece of thick metal on each side so you don't break the plug any worse (about 1/2" X 2" plate). MAKE SURE YOU TURN COUNTER CLOCKWISE! Wiggle it back and forth as you may have a wire or hairpin half in and half out of the pump filter area. It takes 2 full turns to get past the threads in order for the plug to come out. I had an underwire from a bra that gave me the worst problem. I worked on it for almost an hour. I have found change, jewelry, hairpins, BBs, small rocks, and a 4" long underwire from a bra. Please rate my solution if this gives you enough details to complete your task. THANKS!!
