Hi, I have just received a Citizen Nighthawk eco-Drive and, after setting the time and pushing the crown back into the normal position, the watch has stopped functioning. I can see the second hand twitching slightly, but it is not moving. Does anyone know what this could be?

I have Citizen Eco-Drive-Pilot Promaster-radio-controlled, shortly i noticed that the second doesnt move and allways stay in 12 Oclock position. Hakan

When was the last time you left the watch out to charge? EcoDrive watches are basically daylight powered. It can also use light bulb light to charge as well. My first suggestion would be to place it face up somewhere where it will get plenty of sunshine and leave it to recharge. It might take 3 or 4 days if it has gone totally flat but it will cost you nothing to do this. If this doesn't work I would recommend taking it to a good Citizen dealer and see if the watch can be serviced. If you have pulled the crown too hard you could have damaged inside the watch.
A built in feature on some Citizen watches is the '2 second tick'. If the charge is low the second hand will jump 2 seconds at a time instead of one. When recharged it goes back to normal.

How do change the date on my citizen divers watch

Hi,

Hope this will helped you fixing the time of your Citezen divers watch. Just foolow the instruction below.

Change your Citizen watch's time zone without actually moving the clock hands. On the digital display, change the city that displays on the watch, which sets the time to the different time zone. The Citizen also has a calendar, timer, chronograph and LED lights. Since it is an Eco Drive watch, it is solar powered so you never have to replace the batteries unless its backup power source dies.
Difficulty: Easy Instructions

  1. Pull the setting knob (crown) out one "tick" for setting mode.

  2. Set the mode hand to "WT-S."

  3. Pull the crown out one more "tick."

  4. Press the top button on the right side of the watch for the city setting mode.

  5. Press the lower button on the right side to "SET" the city.

  6. Turn the crown to select a different city, which changes the time zone.

  7. Push the crown all the way back in to finish setting the time.

Can,t set timeon watch

OK try and follow these steps and it may help you set the time on your Watch. Once you understand the different function buttons on the edge of the case setting the time will be an easy task.

1-Note the 2 and 4 o'clock function buttons and the crown at 3 o'clock on the case edge of the Citizen Skyhawk Eco-Drive. These buttons set all functions of the watch.

2-Set the home city digital display function at 9 o'clock by pulling the crown to the first position. Rotate the crown until the mode hand in the subdial at 6 o'clock is aligned with TME. Press the 2 o'clock button until the nearest major city where you live appears. Press the 2 and 4 o'clock buttons at the same time to find the home city in the 3 o'clock digital display window. Once the city is selected, the time is automatically set by the automatic radio reception function.

3-Pull the crown out to the first position to manually set the time. Rotate the crown until the mode hand is aligned with the CAL, TME and RX-S position under the umbrella line. Push the crown flush with the case edge. Point the watch's 9 o'clock side in the direction of the radio transmitter. For example, if you live in Los Angeles, point the watch's 9 o'clock side east towards Ft. Collins, Colo., where the transmitter is located.

4-Hold down the 4 o'clock button for two seconds until the tone sounds and the second hand stops at the RX-S position. The second hand will then move to H, M or L found at the 2 o'clock subdial. Remain holding the watch in the same position. The second hand will move from the H, M or L position with the hour and minute hands to the correct time once the radio reception is completed.

5-Press the 2 o'clock button to start the chronograph's stopwatch. Press the button a second time to stop the timer. Press the 4 o'clock button to reset the timer.

6-Pull the crown all the way out and rotate it clockwise until the correct date is selected. Push the crown flush when finished.

IF you are still not able to set the time contact your dealer or the nearest Citizen showroom.

Describe your Citizen Skyhawk Eco-Drive JR306059F Wrist Watch Problem: How to correct 0 position of 24 four hour hand. I think its done in conjunction with hour hand but how?

Here is how to correct the 0 Position for your watch.

While your the crown of your watch is down in the starting position , turn the crown until the mode hand (this is the circle at the bottom of the face) reaches CHR

At this time now pull out the crown until it clicks two times, two the second setting of the crown.

This will bring the watch to the 0 position correction function.
you can turn the crown clock wise to correct the hour hand.

press the a button to switch hand to second, or press again to switch to minute. Then use crown again to correct 0 position.

The hour and the 24 hour hand is in conjunction with each other.

then push down the crown all the way in and you should be all set.

Citizen eco-drive BM8084-58H: I cannot change the date/day on the watch moving the crown.

mcdevito75 here, The crown should be a 2 position crown, try this, pull out the crown as if to set the hands, rotate the hands, (adjust the time) around the dial until you have the right day, Now! push the crown in, Now! slip your finger nail just under the crown and lift the crown to it"s first notch or position, this should allow you to turn the crown and adjust the date, when at the date push the crown back in and your done.

Second does not reset to 12

You should be able to solve this by pulling out the Crown(the one with which you set your normal clock), Pull it out in the 2nd stand.
Then by pushing the 'start/stop' button --> you change the minutes.
By pushing the 'lap/reset' button --> you change the seconds

It worked for me, took me a few minutes to figure it out, i hope this saves others the time of doing that :p
