to download the firmware you will have to go to this website and find the
MPK8854UK
it looks like there no firmware update for the US version so try the UK version
download the zip file, plug your mp3, run the firmware updater, and this should works just fine.

I would go ahead and do the firmware upgrade from Samsung's website - make sure you enter in your EXACT model # - including the part after the YP-T10. The RSC (resource) files need updating, and I can't think of a better way to do that than to upgrade the firmware. There is a small possibility that you have files on there with expired DRM licenses, but I would try firmware upgrade first.
This link should have the firmware upgrade that you need - if you correct the firmware upgrade link and not some other link, then it will not prompt you to do anything with Windows Media Player 11.

If it is a "chi-Pod" or other generic MP3 player, youll have to get on google to see if you can find it, I dont even know if you can get a firmware dump off a friends same model.
