No Sound from JBL On-Stage 400

I am not getting any sound from my new JBL On-Stage 400. I have confirmed that it is getting power (green light is lit). I have tried four iPods (various kinds - all work in iHome) as well as the AUX, but still no sound. I pressed the + key several times but still nothing. Any thoughts?

Well, I guess I had my underwear on backwards, because reversing the AC cord connection to the power support SOLVED this problem. I suppose I can't help but wonder why JBL didn't make these things dummy proof. I know! Because they never thought I'd buy one.

    Sheesh.

The power supply consists of two parts: the AC cord with a two-prong connector on one end and a double barrel plastic connector; and the large rectangular power supply which has a dual prong receptor on the side and a long cable which plugs into the JBL unit.

In my case, I had plugged the double barrel plastic connector into the dual prong receptor backwards. Even though I was getting full power to the unit, this somehow caused the speakers to become inoperative.

Of course, I would offer a recommendation to JBL that their power supplies are made to be "dummy proof" so this does not happen to others as well.

My JBL SCS 200/230 subwoofer having no sound, but the green light is on and goes red after a few minutes, but there is signal from the amplifier, can anybody help me??

Subwoofers are essentially mono amps. So when you get no sound, but power, then it's the main amp inside the thing that has failed.

I bought a samsung DNiejr 2 yrs ago and recently it has started making a sharp whistling sound. How can i repair this myself

The most likely problem is with the Switch Mode Power suplly (SMPS) However it cannot be confirmed as you did not mention whether the tv screen is dark or having any raster (lighted up).
Do you get the green LED ' Power on' indicator lighted up or stays red only.
If it is green your problem is either with the Horizontal/vertical output stage.

So state more about the current status of your TV

Compaq JBL Platinum Series speakers

Make sure that you got 12v 1.0 A adapter. Not .01 A. They have one at newegg.com atrix DVCPA1AA power adapter-12v 1.0 A. you should not need drivers for speakers. Make sure you got it pluged into right port if you got the adapter. Also make sure under control panel under sound that you got it setup for two speakers.
