Lens Error I purchased a Nikon P90 a month ago; and it was working just fine. A couple of days ago during a photo shoot (after taking 190+ photos without any trouble), the camera went crazy.. It shows a lens error when turned on; asks to 'remove the lens cap' even if it is already removed. The lens starts to zoom out & in for a couple of times; then this error message comes up and just hangs. Tried removing the card, battery and even tried re-charging the cell. I purchased it from UK, and I'm now in India.. It doesn't have international warranty.

This is probably THE most common failure among digital cameras. There's a halfway chance of fixing it yourself, described here: http://camerarepair.blogspot.com/2007/12/fixing-lens-error-on-digital-camera.html

Unable to get sharp pictures, poor focus with P90

Two things can make a photo non sharp. 1) Bad focus and 2) Vibration while shooting. In general when hand holding a shorter lens your exposure should be 1/60 or faster. Your 7600 may have vibration reduction so it helps with point two.

If you use a tripod you control point two. if the photos are still blurry you either have the wrong focus mode set or possibly the lens is damaged or out of alignment. I cannot tell sitting here. Control Vibration and use a Tripod when in doubt.

Sir i have purchased nikon p100 camera from croma stores belapur branch , the problem with the barrel and there were gear noise and on taking photos in dark back ground of moon there were several white...

You have to know the MODE your camera is in. If you have it in the wrong mode you may not be able to take a photo in some conditions. You typically cannot take a photo of the moon on any auto setting the moon will be a white blob. The moon almost has to be taken manually.

Error Message

Try to take off the battery and reset the camera. You can also try to remove the lens and check the mirror opening..see if there is some thing stuck there. You can try to click the shutter while the lens is removed. If this procedure didn't work I suggest calling Nikon for further repairs.

R05 problem using d70, camera will not take a photo in autofocus

It is actually an error message generated by your compact flash and means that the card is no longer readable. A lot of D70 owners have reported this error without being able to find another solution other than reinserting the card or changing the card to a different brand. You could also try cleaning out the memory card slot and check to see that all pins are aligned and not bent.
Good Luck,
Jeff

Wont turn on but light is blinking

Are there any error messages on the LCD display?

Will the camera lens stay out when the camera is turned on?

Can you still take a photo/flash/sound without seeing the photo?

If the camera will not turn on even with a fresh set of batteries it could have a system or lens error in the camera.

a possible lens jamb when closed and the green led on top comes on then shuts off after the lens attemps to extend but cant.

Nikon 8700

I had a Lens ERR a year ago and after a while it started working again on it's own... that error means that something (dust particle, etc) is stuck in the lens; you can try to clean it with a brush or blower; or take it to a repair shop... it's a pretty simple thing to resolve.
