How do i transfer pics from my computer to an SD card in the camera. I'm getting an error message and it won't let me copy and paste. I tried renaming the files to IMG_####, in sequence with a pic in the camera and that didn't work.

Have "olympus sp 800uz" and

1. Put the SD card into the computers cardreader.
2. Connect the camera through USB with the computer .
3. Copy the pictures.

If you have trouble with the SD card:
1. Copy all the pictures to the computer.
2. Format the sd card in the camera.
3. Copy the pictures back onto the sd card.

When i try to transfer pics from camera to pc i get a runtime error message

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any program such as Nikon Transfer.

How do i get pictures off internal memory onto a computer or sd card

Hi, I have the similar s8000fd and I transfer pics from internal memory by taking out the sd card then connect to a spare usb socket on computer, then switch camera on. To transfer pics from internal memory to sd card - leave sd card in, switch on camera (playback mode), press menu, select copy, select 'internal memory to sd card', 'select frame' or 'all frames'. It should say 'copy ok?' Press OK.

For some reason I can not get my pictures to transfer to my computer from my Canon A560 camera. It has worked in the past. Any suggestions? Mary

I have the A570, which is fairly similar, and I use one of two methods for transferring pics from the camera to the computer. One is to use a USB cable between computer and camera, and the other requires removing my micro SD card and plugging it into a card reader. ( I purchased micro SD cards with SD adapters so I can use the second method.) Using the second method allows you to view the data just like you would any other data on your hard drive. If you don't have a card reader, maybe a friend does? At this time, I don't know if there is a problem with the camera/computer connection, or the data card. Re-post with more detail regarding what you do to transfer, and whether you get any error messages, if this doesn't help.
