I have a 3-year old GE Profile Dryer - Model DPSE810EGOWT. Just stopped working this afternoon. Now when start button is pushed nothing happens, but when the start button is released it beeps twice.

i had something similar, did the cleaning and double checked to make sure all the wiring was hooked up and not frayed. i then "jiggled" (technical term) the dryer door button and some sand came out. it has been working ever since.

If nothing happens, try resetting the dryer breaker pair in the house electrical panel. Push OFF, then ON.

I've had this happen twice to a microwave thats 2.5 years old. Its the magnatron . GE will do nothing to fix this except charge you a ridiculous rate for service. Get a new microwave---not a GE
