How do you reset the ribbon in a Brother 575 Fax.

It says replace or reset. I don't have a replacement.

You can rewind the ribbon. But the areas that has ben transferred from past fax's will be blank.

The message "Ribbon Empty- Reset or Replace" will appear on the display of your Brother machine when your ribbon cartridge has run out and needs to be replaced.

you don't reset the ribbon .. you have to replace it. it is called a thermal ribbon part number is Brother PC-501, or PC501 you can get it at office max or office depot or staples or Precision Roller for about $28.00
