SOURCE: Washer won't start

First of all, does the washer make a distinctive "click" when you push the START button? This is an indication that your door latch is locking (or at least making an attempt to lock). Normally, however, the display would have an "fdl" fault code indicating a door lock failure if it were bad. I have seen the latch go bad and not register a fault code, though. You can perform this simple diagnostic test to see if any fault codes register: 1. Select DRAIN/SPIN 2. Under SPIN SPEED select NO SPIN 3. Then, under OPTIONS push the PREWASH button 4 times. You should hear the door latch click then "C00" will show on the display. The washer will begin a series of tests (C01...C05 - depending on options and model) by testing the hot and cold fill valves, the various dispenser compartments, followed by tumble, drain and spin. If there is something wrong the diagnostic test will abort and a fault code will be displayed. The washer usually beeps when it displays a fault code. If you attempt to perform the diagnostic and the display momentarily flashes after you press the PREWASH button the fourth time and goes out, this can also be a symptom of bad door latch. You need to perform these simple steps first in order to further diagnose. Let me know what you come up with.

there is no real way of checking the keypad. Not with a meter but if you push normal wash for example and it does not respond this usually means that you have a bad keypad

SOURCE: Flashing "Washing" light on my frigidaire 1000 series dishwasher

Possible solution. I had the same problem of "washing" light flashing last year and now today. Warranty has been expired for awhile, so no harm in trying. What worked for my situation was removing the six screws for the back of the plastic control cover. Take of the plastic cover. There are are two connectors to the HANDLE with white and black wires. To be safe I would shut off the ciruit to the dishwasher. Safety first. Carefully disconnect and inspect the contacts inside the connectors. Do not insert any metal objects if you left the power on. I believe that the moisture from the dishwasher can degrade the connectivity. I cleaned the contacts with q-tips and re-installed. Be careful to not bend the contacts. If you had sound, you could hear my dishwasher running. Total cost is about three cents. I believe that the connectors do not full close when corroded, which prevents the completion of the circuit to the controlls. The flashing light indicates that the door is open, when in fact it is closed. Hopefully this will help someone. Semper Fi

SOURCE: Frigidaire Dishwasher FDB1050REC1 - Washing Indicator Light Blinking

Here is what happened, you pulled the door open without pressing cancel and allowing it to pump the water out, hence the "flooding in the bottom". This is just one reason why it maybe blinking, there is a water sensor in the bottom. If your dishwasher is hooked up properly to any decent garbage disposal, run the disposal for about 30 seconds to a minute. This should pump the water out, more like activate a light siphoning affect. It should work as normal. If you are not having luck with that, detach the DW drain get it low and let it siphon.

Start button not working

Good Morning Friend, thank you for your post!

I see that your Frigidaire dishwasher has power but will not start a cycle. Let's try resetting your dishwasher by either unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker to the off position. It is best to wait roughly ten minutes and then turn on your dishwasher. Confirm that the door is securely closed and select a cycle. If resetting the power does not correct the issue, it could potentially mean a number of things: a potential wiring failure, faulty door latch assembly or control board. Because it could be a number of any one of several underlying causes, I would personally contact a professional to accurately diagnose your dishwasher to determine the root cause to reduce the risk of unnecessary parts.

Best regards! - Z

Good Afternoon Leszek - Thank you for your question. Based on the symptoms you are describing it sounds like the unit has a faulty timer or a potential wiring failure. Try reprogramming the unit by either unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker to the off position. It is important to wait approximately ten minutes and then turn on the unit. If issue persists, then at this point I strongly suggest reaching out to a professional that can accurately diagnose and repair the washer.

Hello bamspry - From what you are describing if only the China/Crystal icon is working, then the dishwasher could possibly be experiencing a communication problem coming from the main control panel or wiring failure. If I was in your position, I personally will recommend consulting a professional to move forward accurately and to assist with the repair(s).

I have model # FDB431LFCO My house is 2 years old.

Door switch The door switch is important because, if it's defective, the dishwasher won't work at all. To reach it, you need to remove the control panel cover, or sometimes the interior liner of the door. If it's defective, you need to completely replace it.

Error flashing and won't reset.

hi there,

PF stands for power failure. the first you should do is check your house breaker and make sure that you did not trip the fuse.

Does anything run? Can you hear the motor running? If not, you have no power coming into the machine. In this case it's the main control board that needs to be replaced.

If the motor hums, it means you have power to the d/w, in that case you need to replace the touchpad.

thanks
