Is there a recall on Frigidaire dehumidifier Model FAD504DUD

Some dehumidifiers with the model number, FAD504DUD, are subject to a recall. Record the serial number and then go to https://www.recallrtr.com/dehumidifier to check if your unit was manufactured in the bad batch.

Without the serial number, I can't be sure if your unit is in the 2016 recall. For details, you can look at https://www.cpsc.gov/Recalls/2017/Dehumidifiers-Made-by-Midea-Recalled .

I hope this helps.

I have a Frigidaire Dehumidifier model FDB30R1. Is there a recall for fire hazzard on this model?

Richard?
I have provided you a website that may help.

There has been a recall since 2013. Here below is the website.

My advice. Contact Gree. Be persistent and kind. Customer Support Reps, being people, can do wonders sometimes when they are treated kindly.

Dehumidifier Thermistor

there is NOT...

By your model number...
I bounce off of a lot of other (subsequent models (I presume))...

But your model does NOT resolve to any serious parts
USA domestic suppliers... not even good drawings!!

I tried appliancepartspros, easyapplianceparts, repairclinic, partsselect & searspartsdirect.com

Got spanked pretty good... Looked at related circuit boards... but none had any significant detail to determine a THERMISTER
FROM... Do not match

Time to get the ACTUAL NUMBERS OFF OF your thermistor...
and go to electronic houses... eBay, grainger... even RadioShack

In my humbled opinion...

Why freezes up?

Good Afternoon Friend,

I understand that your Frigidaire dehumidifier, model# FAD504DUD, is freezing up. First, if your dehumidifier has been turned on recently, this is normal due to refrigerant rushing through the coil. Frost will usually disappear within 60 minutes. Secondly, make sure the room temperature is above 41 degrees Fahrenheit. If it is too cold in the room, the coils can freeze. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully.

Why does blower wheel stop on Frigidaire dehumdifier?

Good Afternoon Desi,

I understand that the blower wheel is not spinning on your Frigidaire dehumidifier, model# FAD504DUD. I also see that the compressor will stay on unless the dehumidifier is unplugged. I suggest you contact the manufacturer for further assistance. They can possibly clarify why the compressor stays on and why the blower fan is not working. If not, they should at least be able to point you in the right direction of having your dehumidifier working. Hope this is helpful.

How to clean the filter

Good Afternoon Tad, thank you for allowing me to assist you!

First remove the bucket to reach the filter of your Frigidaire dehumidifier, FAD504DUD. When you locate the filter, pull it downwards. The filter can be clean by either washing it with clean water or using a vacuum cleaner extension hose. If you use clean water, please allow the filter to dry. Once the filter is reinstalled then replace the bucket. To extinguish the light simply press the FILTER button and your dehumidifier will resume normal operations.

Hope this helps!
