Is the printer a wireless, network, or connected to another computer wired.

Also, be sure that your "workgroup" is still named the same on all computers.

Disconnect from the net and turn off your firewall while trying to install.

SOURCE: Emulex NetJet Print Server Problem

The standard port settings used when setting up a Printer Port is Port 9100 (TCP) when normally communicating with the Jet direct / LaserJet 4 plus printer.

However when using the Emulex Card it s default is Port 2501 (UDP). So within XP change the Port setting to 2501 and it then will communicate correctly.

Check your windows firewall or your antivirus.
Disconnect that for a while and delete all pending documents (queue).

Send a new doc to print and see what happen.
Usually those program are blocking the communication between printer and computer.
If this is your case, set a rule on your antivirus program.

Have a great day!

Lexmark only connects to print server

Make sure that you have the right SSID and password for your network. Also, try to powercycle your router and printer. Just unplug the power for about 30 seconds then plug it back in.

If it still doesn't help, try to leave you network open without any password and check if the printer is able to connect. If it does, check if the wireless standard is set to b/g/n. If it is, set it to b/g.

MY EMAIL ACCOUNT RECEIVES EMAIL, BUT I CANNOT SEND EMAILS. WHEN I ATTEMPT TO SEND, I GET THIS ERROR MESSAGE: ----The server does not support a SSL connection. Account: 'Microsoft Mail Server', Server:...

Hi,
It seems that there is some problem with your settings. Goto account settings-> select the email account -> advanced settings of Outgoing server tab. Removing the check mark present near something like "SSL connection". save it and try again. Also verify other ports and outgoing server address by checking with your email provider.
i hope this is helpful to you

Cannot print from laptop to printer using wireless print server

This is probably the Software Firewall on your laptop

you should probably tell your firewall software that you have an internal network (Laptop-desktop-printer) you should add the IP range of the wireless network as a trusted network.

Outlook express - server pop needs to be changed. When I left embarq and went to Cablevision the server data did not change. E mail from computer generated from Outlook express does not generate.

You have to use your internet providers smpt-server.

This is something most internet providers forces us to do these days as a way to stop spam.

Either you contact your internet provider and ask for the correct smpt server, or you check their site. They usually have the right smpt server mentioned on their site.

Cheers
