Im trying to sync my logitech harmonyone and it will only go to 66% then the remote reads error 054 and freezes

You must press the DEVICE button to select among the just what the remote may control. Once you select which one, the other controls on the remote (such as PLAY) work. Page 11 of the guide above mentions this device button. Note that when you are finished using the DVD, you may have to select DEVICE again to select the TV so the buttons will then control the TV. Old remotes require you to enter codes to operate extra devices and indeed the TV but I think your remote may not require such.

Here is what I pulled from the Halfords website under the RAC 5000 Sat Nav - UK & ROI product description. Updates & downloads All updates are done via the Route66 Home Sync. The dedicated RAC page is at www.66.com/rac To use the home sync it may be necessary to download the relevant 'driver' for PC or laptop. All drivers are easy to download from www.microsoft.com

Hmm I havent heard of this before. Did you try updating the firmware on the remote?

1. Remove the battery, press and hold the 'OFF' button, and re-insert the battery. The screen will display 'Safe Mode!', or the 'Activities' button will be lit.
2. Connect your remote to the computer.
3. Launch the Harmony Remote Software, and log in.
4. Click "Downloads" at the top and click "Firmware".
5. The remote will go through the firmware update.
6. Select "Yes", and click NEXT to update the remote.

Yup, you shouldn't have opened the remote unless you knew what you were doing!

hi did you install the software straight to your route 66 maxi using route 66 sync software ? if you did try downloading it to your computer then transfer it on to the memory card using a card reader

That's because you need to take out cartridge and put it back! See is there any jamed paper inside!!! Error 054 is about cartridge!! Can't read that cartridge is inside the printer!!!

Sometimes CD drives (especially laptop drives) will have problems reading certain CDs, and it usually causes the computer to freeze for ages while it tries to read it. Eventually it should give an error message saying it can't read the CD, but you'd have to wait a very long time for this.

Try the CD in a different computer. If it works ok there, I'd copy the contents onto a memory stick and use that to install it onto the computer.
