Easier to put the mother cat with the kittens and let the kittens drink the female mother cats milk themselves.

Do you always put her milk in such a tall, narrow cup? She may just not want to put her face in a small enclosure. If you havent, try using a wide shallow bowl. I have a cat who does the same thing with her water bowl, but she splashes to get the water moving, then she sticks her paw in the moving water. More of a game for her than anything because she also drinks normally.

Can't see how this is a Operating System question, but here goes. I like to find some red thread when naming my animals, although this is more fun if you have more than one. For example I used to name my male animals after male villains and female animals after female heroines. But I have had some exceptions to the rule lately. Some of the names I've used resently is Anakin Skywalker Jr the dog, Damien Thorn the dog, Luke Skywalker jr the cat (I only used Anakin and Luke when calling them), Catniss Bellatrix Lestrange the cat (had to change that one a little from the original), Akira the cat, Gulliver the cat and so on.

So let's try something similar, like female villains that is cute/beautiful with a prominent name for a daschund princess. Fun for those recognizing the names, but still names usable on a dog show.
- Morgan Le Fay
- Ravenna (or Queen Ravenna)
- Xenia
- Cersei

Other names could be everything between the easy Tixi to the more dog show'ish Dancing de Belliss. But I think naming the animals after stuff that matters to you is more fun. Just don't call her Poison Ivy or Cat Woman.

April, The female is probably guarding the kittens from the male, which upsets the male cat. He probably is a little jealous and wants all them to know who is boss.

Presumably the cat has left the worktop for toilet breaks but has returned there each time.

If the cat has been eating and drinking normally and seems contented there are unlikely to be any health concerns especially if the cat can be distracted by playing. If the answer to any of these is no it might be time to be concerned.

Cats can be inscrutable. I am wondering if it is an indoor cat that never goes out. I am wondering if it is a male or female cat. Perhaps that spot of the worktop is an ideal vantage point to watch the local competition, especially if the scent of mating is in the air. It would be somewhat confusing for an indoor cat and the significance of such scents and sounds aren't entirely lost on a neutered cat.

It is just possible that spot on the worktop has an appliance or something underneath it making it a warm place to sit.

I hope this helps a little.

Male or female cat--you did not say. If cat is male check his litter box if leavings are normal and solid then perhaps his 'tail glands' are leaking and will need to be manually expressed. If female same check of the box if OK then we might suspect a case of pyometra. Check the wet spots, do they have an 'off' odor or something like a rotting smell? If so go to veterinarian IMMEDIATELY this is a life threatening condition as it is an infection of the womb

My cat is 2 years old, she had a litter of 4 kittens they all do have new homes they are 7 weeks old. Sokkies is still very swolen and hard all around her nipples what should i do?

If they swells and becomes red and painful take her to the vet to check for Mastitis which is a bacterial infection in the milk ducts of female cats and can get very sick and die.

Also make sure cats are with mother for 10 weeks to properly learn things.

Also please spay your cat, approximately 7.6 million companion animals enter animal shelters nationwide every year and millions of cats are euthanized.

It looks like OCD to me. Have you tried a more shallow dish which will alow him to reach the water with his tounge?

What shouldn't I give my cat to eat?

Onions are particularly bad for cats as they break down the cat's red blood cells, the same goes with garlic and chives. Milk is also not good for cat's especially adult cats as their digestive system cannot cope with dairy products.
