Ive done that already, didnt change anything.
My husband figured it out... It turns out that the metal pin used to keep the bobbin in place while its spinning was stuck and wasnt out completly, making the machine think there was a bobbin on the winder even if there wasnt.

Needle in correct? Be sure your bobbin is not in upside down and turning the wrong way. Possibly the hook that the bobbicase fits in/on has been hit by a needle and caused a burr that is catching the thread as it comes around. The burr would have to be polished off or hook replaced. The machine could be slightly out of time also.

Most machines you slide the bobbin winder to the right to wind and then back to the left when your done to remove. Just making sure.... you did move it back to the left?

Is your button hole lever down? I had the same problem after sewing a button hole and couldn't figure out why I couldn't return to normal sewing. Once I raised the button hole lever the machine worked again.
