We have a 19" lcd venturer tv and last night the screen went white and we are not able to recieve any programmes. We had it connected to a virgin cable digi box, but have removed that and plugged in directly to mains, but still just a blank white screen.
Any ideas??

Hi , i,ve a similar problem , mine is intermittent , sometimes fine for days , other times only lasting a few ours before the fault occcurs , it appears to switch off for a second , then white screen , then off again and so on and so on , there doesn't appear to be any technical info , or help on these sets.

Same problem. TV was working fine then screen went white. Sound works fine. TV is only 1.5 years old with limited use. Do not have the manual and have no idea what the problem is. I tried the Menu button and can make out such words as "picture" and OBM. There are green bars and red bars across the screen occasionally. Worked for me too! Unbelieveable. I smacked the black trim along the top of the problem area(many times) and one section at a time the picture came back! Just posted my problem( half hour ago) and my son just struck the top of the TV twice and now I have a picture again. Cheap fix. The TV was turned on with the white picture showing when he did it(had it turned on for about 1 hour before the strikes).

1 Check the antenna. Adjust it to see if the picture improves. Confirm that the antenna cable is firmly connected. Check to see that input cables are connected.
2 Scroll through the channels to determine if the problem is specific to a station. Check any video sources (i.e. cable box). Make sure all cables are connected tightly.
3 Check for interference. Power off all nearby devices one by one to see if any of them are creating the lines.
4 Power off the TV for 30 minutes before turning it back on.

OOPs TV was working for 10 min and then went bad again.
