You can only connect one external monitor through the docking station. The splitter you describe does not exist.

All DC59 models were supplied with the docking station design shown below, which sounds as if it's the one you've seen in videos online:



From your description, it sounds like the docking station you've inherited may belong to an older Dyson cordless vacuum, such as DC35 or DC44. You need a hard drive docking station. It has a USB cable linked to a hard drive plug-in connection. The plug-in section should have an option with the same pin arrangement as the hard-drive. The hard drives generally have male pins so the docking station should have female pins.The docking stations generally have more that one pin arrangements for different types of hard drives ie. SATA etc.
Check with your local electronics shop, if you have one, else explore Ebay and/or Google.

If your TV has RCA (L/R) audio outputs, buy a 3.5 mm Male to 2-Male RCA Adapter cable to hook up your TV to the 3.5 mm AUX IN jack on your docking station.

The most cost effective solution is to fit an upgrade kit from invebo.com If you go to the site and enter your serial number then you get access to all the diagniostic videos and information. The upgrade takes aboyut 5 minutes to fit and is supplied on a no-risk 'buy and try' basis. You can also call the helpline and talk to the real engineers that repair the docks not the sales people..

If it is an iPod bose dock, then no. Other Bose docks may have a line in port (looks like a headphone jack). If it has this, then a male to male stereo cable can hook up your walkman to the dock. -Alex

From what I've read researching your question, it would appear that the itouch comes with a dock adapter. If she has the adapter that came with it, she should have no problem using the docking station. Best of luck to you and I'm sure she'll be thrilled with her great gift!
