I have a 99 YZ80 I put an 04 85 in and used the stator n n rotor out of. It runs great but only wants to go backwards. I've tried adjusting the stator but nothing? WHY

Its more than likely because the stator in the 80 is designed different so that the point of ignition is advanced to compared to the ignition on the 04. Try to retard the ignition as far as you can if that don't work you can either buy the right stator or file the holes for the screws wider so you can turn it more.

Hi. I have a Kirby from back in the early 90s (model G3D). Never had major issues with it. Can't remember the last time I had maintenance/tune up done. It's just sounding different when I run it the last...

check the belt. this is a strong vaccume and even without the belt it will still have a decent amount of suction. If the belt is not tight or intact it can let the motor turn faster which will sound louder. other than that check all the hoses for holes and blockage, be very picky.( look deep and everyware!
good luck

My yz80 has no torque when i pull the throttle back all the way and it was barely any power

you may have low compression on the top end. do a compression check. You might also check the timing if the stator has been adjusted properly, and also correct carb adjustment.
