The color is not adjusted right.

My HP Deskjet F4240 is not printing right. The color is really dark and/or has green lines in the pictures. I have Windows XP on my computer.

The first step is to determine whether the problem is in the printer or the driver.
Run an alignment test and then, using the printer menu, print a picture that is within the printer.

If the internal picture has the same problem, and all ink cartridges are flowing properly (you will be able to tell from the alignment test), printer replacement is going to be the least expensive repair.

If the internal picture prints ok, then try printing a picture from the computer again. If that gives you the old problem, disconnect the printer from the computer. Then, uninstall the printer, reboot twice and reinstall the driver, hooking up the printer when asked.

Hp 2050 deskjet printer: colours are confused and orange is printing green.

Try checking you color settings on printer and computer. Also, check your ink cartridge and it's date of manufacture. Sometimes old cartridges behave like that.

Will HP 60 ink cartridge work with HP Deskjet 2460? Tnx.

This is all HP recommends for the HP Deskjet 2460, so I wouldn't suggest buying anything else. First of all it might not fit and second, even if it fits, other issues may come with using those. If you can't see the list here it is:

I am printing a picture of a item someone email to me when I review this item on my computer it has a white back ground and the item is green and yellow. But when I print the picture the green part is now...

it depends, either the printer is faulty or has a modified color shceme loaded or the monitor is not displaying true colors but inhanced colors. try to first use one of the online screen calibration test to verify the colors on your monitor are correct if so then check the color scheme on the printer.

How do I lighten color on hp deskjet F4400 series?

Explain what you want to accomplish please.

If yor printer soaks plain paper with too much ink, go to printer properties and change the media type to plain paper, and the print quality to Standard or even Draft.

If however you want to print pictures on photo paper, and they are too dark/saturated, you need to adjust the photos using some picture edit/touchup application - there are plenty of them available free online, or on computer magazine CDs etc.

HP Deskjet F4180 Color changes and lines in photo printing

HP always recommend that ink cartridge should be replace by original ink.

As this kind of scenario will occur if the ink will just be replace by a refill ink.

HP Deskjet 6940 not printing after replacing ink cartridge

My HP Deskjet 6940 is not printing. The color (left) low ink light is dark and the black (right) low ink light is flashing. I replaced the black ink cartridge with a new one but the low ink light continues to flash. No tears/rips in the circuit strip and all the copper leads appear to be connected

Horizontal lines in pictures

If you are using original cartridges then there should not be a problem. The horizontal lines come from the cartridge. Can you pinpoint if it is a color or black line that is missing? My guess is that during the alignment procedure, you are asked to choose a number or letter that corresponds to picture of a the lines that show the best alignment. If you did this correctly, may I ask how many pictures you printed before seeing that line. Is it on the first print or 10th printing? Cuz if it is on the 5th or more full color picture, then the problem is that you you really have the wrong printer. The F380 capacity for printing full color pictures is miniscule. 1 ml per color. So usually after the 3rd color picture, the ink starts to run out. Let me know if this helps.
