Hello, I have a 4 year old Samsung LED TV model# UN39FH5000FXZA. Basically the TV plays and sounds fine. A few days ago, I plugged a digital camera into the USB port in the rear of the TV to show some pictures of a recent vacation. After a few moments the TV flashed off and on, then off and on again by itself. Ever since it came back on the TV has a very light blue hue to the picture. I've tried unplugging, tried resetting to factory settings and other simple picture options but to no avail. Even tried the (Mute,1,8,2,Power)code to get into the factory settings. No change. Its like its in a permanent cool picture mode. Actually switching to cool mode just makes the picture that much more blue and switching to warm mode doesn't get rid of the blue hue either. Everything that should be white on the screen is a very light blue. UGH! So I'm looking thru the ShopJimmy web site to buy a replacement board to fix this TV, but don't know which component to buy to properly fix it... Main board, T-Con board, or Power supply / LED board? Anyway... is this picture problem something you can help me with or does it need to be asked of a digital TV professional? Thanks in advance for your time, John
The t con board digitizes your picture and is responsible for anything you see on the screen including any and all anomalies. I would go that route TV Parts Universal TV Stands DLP Chips ShopJimmy
On that model the conv IC is usually not the solution. I believe its the blown capacitor problem with is an easy fix. Check the site www.TvRepairKits.com for a repair kit.

You will get a white screen when you unplug the t-con from the main board. Doing so removes power to the LCD panel. Verify that all of your voltages from the power supply are correct. If they are, I'd look at the t-con board. It sounds like there is a problem with the t-con that is pulling down the main board.

you will need to check weather the 24vdc supply for the inverter board is good no drop voltage. if no supply check the power supply board. then you should check if their is a inv_on signal at the power inverter board around 3v-4.4vdc . if goes out during power on tried to disconnect the supply going to the inverter board to ensure if their is a shorted parts in the inverter board. if the inverter_on signal also goes out even with out inverter board connected that was mean you have problem in the processor board.

Stop buying hot TVs folks. If you bought it legit, you can take it back.
